I'm new to this forum but not so much to bettas. I kept them about 35 years ago, but got out of the fish business altogether for many years. About 6 months ago I got by back injured and have been out of work since, so that left me with a lot of free time on my hands. While "surfing" the internet one day, I re-discovered bettas and loved all of the "new" tail types. (35 years ago, you had a choice between veiltails and veiltails.) (LOL) The "betta bug" bit and now I've got 17 pairs, mostly halfmoons, but also crowntails and plakats too. I guess my "prize" pair would be the "Orange Dalmatian HM" pair I got from Siamimbellis.

I'm in the process of building a barracks that will hold 90 - 1 gal jars so that I'll have a place for the babies when I finally get started breeding.

I recognized a lot of names from "another" forum I've been on for about 4 months (Ultimate Bettas - As "They Call Me Betta Salad") and look forward to making a lot of new friends as we exchange ideas and information. :hug:

Welcome Wayne to uniquebettas. We are glad that you are here and sharing your thoughts. You do have a bunch of beautiful hm bettas. Yes, build a barrack will help you ease a lot of hard work changing water. I do hope you will enjoying here very much because we are very friendly people in here. A lot of members still learning how to breed bettas. Your help to them will be very much appreciated. If you have anything to sale to the members, feels free to post too. :lolo:
