Hi again folks seems like i get on an average 7 to 10 good males per spawn is this normal seems likea very low number to me my fry always seem to be almost all female drives me koo koo :WOU :WOU is there any know reason for this and maybe somthing i can do different to increase males in my spawns???

Do you know what is the reading ph in your water for the breeding tank? ^_^

Is it the pH that makes a difference? I read (on BettySplendens' site) that it was the age of the parents that made a difference. :s

Ok just went and took some ph tests from my tanks and they came out at 7.5 as far as the age thing i dont know if i believe that i have had 2 young 2 old 1 youn one old and anything in between lol still the result is always a huge amount of females and almost no males lol .

Water ph is the main factor of the sexes. I forgot which one but my guess is ph 6.8 below has more female. Ph in 7.0 is balance. Higher ph will have more males. ^_^
Maybe other has more accurate thought.
