Title: I go first. LOL
Description: HMPK steel

Hi Robert, If you got time, check this one out and tell us what is your opinion and suggestion?
This is the hmpk steel I am talking about and I like to work with him. What catagory is he in actually in ibc competition. When talk about steel color, they have many types. Iridencent or none iridencent, mask steel, black head steel, grey steel, or melano steel.
In your opinion, what can you see in this one and he is under what area? Can he cross into a none irid steel halfmoon female? What suggestion you will give to start this champion line? I would prefer hmpk and hm in this line.

This is another type of hmpk mask steel female I also would like to cross with in the future. Should I?

The Male

The fish has a very strong body with nice shape!!! Great foundation for future finnage improvements. Slight discoloration in the body but not a terrible flaw. Nice dorsal spread and a decent anal lenght. The line maintains the plakat point at the tip of the anal fin. The caudal has a nice spread and good branching. However the caudal leading and trailing edge is too rounded. Usually means the two outer rays are significantly shorter than the rest of the rays. This is a trait of a newly established line of Half-Moon Plakats. It is also a trait that is very hard to get rid of. Would I use this fish as the foundation of a new plakat line? Without looking at the female I would say yes since I would definately out cross to a fish with better leading and trailing caudal edges. Overall I would give the fish a 7.5 out of a possible 10 score. Not bad when I am reviewing a fish for someone who wants my honest opinion and can take constructive criticizm.

The Female

This fish is substandard. The body shape is too elongated and round. A good specimin would have a tapered shape to the body and when observed from the front have a flat (but strong) look to it. The color is different from the male. Much lighter!! The dorsal is nice and wide but way too short. The anal fin is misshaped and too short. The caudal has nice branching and is thick along the caudal pendacle but is too short. I can not tell if the lead and trailing rays good enough to make a strong HM line. Would I use this fish to breed ? Probably not if I had another sibling female that was better. There is the option of breeding this pair for another F and pick out a good female and male and start from there. It has been my experience that once the fish start to torpedo in the body like that it is time to out cross. I would rate this fish a 4 out of a possible score of 10. You could do much better!!
