TOM: Ok, so why so many Heavyweights?

Coach Robinson: “Well traditionally that has been a very solid weight for us, and I expect that weight to be an all-American every year. We have not accomplished that the past few years. This way we have a very competitive weight with a high goal. Someone will step up and get things accomplished.”

TOM: Going into the season how does that weight look?

Coach Robinson: “Ben (Berhow) is our guy for now, he has improved each season and we expect some big things from him this season. Nord will be our 197 pounder to start the season, he is certified and we want him down there early to see how he handles the new weight. Nelson and Kettler will both redshirt.”

Berhow this year. Next year he will have to fend off Nelson and maybe Kettler if he doesn't take a shot at 197. Disney may be back, but I'm not sure how far his headlock will go in the big 10.

Did Disney see the writing on the wall and bail?

I heard that perhaps he didn't give 100% to his classes last year. So the answer might be that he saw the writing on the wall and decided to do something about it. I know he injured himself right at the beginning of the summer so he might not be ready to go and getting a grip on his studies might be the smartest thing he can do at this point.

Nord at 197... I like it, I hope it is doable for him and it works well for all.
