The wave was nice, good sized and an easy ride. Eva's father had wanted her home tonight to come to some lame ass work dinner. Fat chance. Some people just didn't get it. To be the best she had to give up everything. Okay, so Evaligne was a bit to preoccupied on her sport. In fact she was a surfing junkie. It seemed nothing could tear her away from what she loved most. And that's just what she thought, as well as liked other people to think. She was a natural, but she knew you needed more than that to be great. You needed the coach, the support, the sponsorship and mostly the commitment. She'd had this talk to many times in her lifetime to count. If they put her in a debate for it, you can bet she'd sure as hell win. People were not about to tell Eve to chill either. Most of them knew they'd get their heads ripped off.

Today was different though, today she wasn't training, today, she was just surfing. How she liked it best. Sure she was competitive and a bit too much so at that. But she knew how to enjoy it. She lived to surf. Today she was just here to swim, sunbathe and quite frankly, hope Knight didn't turn up. Strange how people often don't admit their true feelings and this was the situation with Eva and Knight. They seemed to act like they hated each other. But there was some sort of attraction as if to say they'd go down to the beach and wonder why the other wasn't there. Funny how the mind works like that though.

So she rode her wave into the beach and repeated the action on the next good wave, free styling some simple tricks and just playing about for the hell of it. Well there was nothing better to do on a late Saturday afternoon. The sun was still out and the air was still warm so why would she not be out on the waves? She ran back up the beach with the board under her arm and placed it carefully were it wouldn't be damaged. Then she lay down her towel, placed on a pair of sunnies and let the sun dry her off. Every so often a break from her strict routine was nice. Not that people should no that. She did the sport because she loved it and wanted to be one of the best. But, if being the best meant almost never again drinking full milk. Well once in a small small while she had to sneak a wee drink in. Not too often, but just when things got a bit too tedious for her.

Shanynn loaded up her mother's mini van and decided to take a drive. Granted, it wasn't the most glamorous mode of transportation, but she had woken up just itching to go to the beach, and even temporary embarrassment wasn't going to stand in her way. She parked the car as far away from prying eyes as possible before slipping on her worn, but favorite pair of sunglasses and hiking toward the beach. Her cherry print beach bag was stuffed with anything and everything, but usually had at least one book, a bottle of water, and a snack. Today she had added her Spanish textbook just in case she felt the strange urge to brush up on her verbs but as she got closer, and noticed just how nice it really was, she smiled.

Studying was definitely out of the question.

She stumbled down the hill as she lugged her bag with her, nearly bumping into another blonde, she started to apologize but her smile only widened as she realized she had seen her before.

Evalinge was a bit more popular than she was and older to boot, but she waved anyway.

"Hey! Nice day, huh?"

Sunbathing and surfing were quite possibly heaven. At least they were for Eva. She was a beach bunny and thats how she liked it. As she lay on her towel with her eyes half closed and her mind off with the fairies, listening to the waves crash, a semi familiar girl appeared in her view. Evey didn't know her well, but she knew her from school. Ugh, it should be illegal to think of school in the weekends. It got in the way enough didn't it, without intruding on peoples thoughts. School wasn't that bad, Eva was a good student, she had to have good grades as part of a deal with her mother. Surfing comes after schoolwork. Well that was the idea. Though it often came last as she wasn't about to do her homework while there was enough light and sun to go for a good spin on the board.

"Hey! Nice day, huh?" Eve grinned and nodded, the girl talked, good, somebody to talk to might be nice. Today had been reasonably lonely and actually rather a drag other than the whole surfing part. "Awesome" she agreed. "Nice surf!" she finished. Gazing at her company through her dark sunnies. Today had been lonely was an understatement. Her mother had gotten up early to run some errands so Eve did see her. Her father was busy with some clients and then the only time he'd talked to her was to tell her about this lame luncheon thing, and well everybody that Eve tried to get a hold of seemed to be busy or just off to be busy. So today had been lonely.

Eve was reasonably renowned for acting the ice queen to people. But today was a good day and she found it easier to warm to girls. She didn't trust guys so much, she knew what they really wanted. Well didn't most girls?! And quite frankly she didn't need all that drama on top of everything else she had. So today Evey was nice, nope in fact she was cherry. No chance you could have called her ice bitch today. A sweetheart would have been closer.
