The production company has mostly 20-30 year olds without experienced seniors and since it is the first directional effort of this kind for director, Lu Chuan, it resulted in delay but the funding of RMB80,000,000 is there. As for the casts, Takeshi Kaneshiro has been considered to be ideal but due to the sensitivity of the subject matter and his personal family background, Takeshi has declined the project already.

http://big5.huaxia.com/tw/shzx/2007/00624406.html The article says that Takeshi visits this village style restaurant frequently. Sandra was a bit worried since he's supposed to have eaten bitter lemon with
tiger paws  I don't hope so!!!
Ah...there has been something going on Japanese sites like Dolphin and
http://blog.livedoor.jp/tk_angel/ because some fans visited TK on location in Kobe and some days later in Tokyo too, he was there filming (probably a CM?) at a coffeeshop/noodleshop. No photos though...the ladies prefered to be polite and not to disturb his privacy...

Miki - June 19, 2007 11:08 PM (GMT)
Forgot to log in and posted as a guest, stupid me  ...although it's not overly exciting...some location pics...no TK...from Dolphin...

Read on
http://blog.livedoor.jp/tk_angel/ that there are even rumors about an upcoming Japanese movie...here's the link to the production company that is supposed to have made the plans for new movie...

bitter lemon with tiger paws, this is just a name of the dish.
The same thing as "Schweinhaxe or Eisbein" (German style)
Actually, it is bitter melon and pig knuckle. (Of course, no tiger paws.)
I also do not know where to get tiger paws to make a dish in Taiwan, it is too disgusting .

Ah, bitter melon and pigs knuckles...that is more a familiar sounding dish...
Hmmm, Tony + Tk going for a event for CoP, I didn't realise the movie hasn't been shown in Japan yet...?
Miki - June 20, 2007 01:55 PM (GMT)
To be honest...if I had to choose between real tiger paws and Eisbein  ...ahem...PETA members, close your eyes, don't sue me please...I would go for the paws :ph43r:
Thanks for the info Luichui...and a warm welcome to all of you...feels so good to see the old members...and some new ones too... :D
And yes Paige...the Japanese ladies are always complaining about being last on the list what releases are concerned...maybe it's because they dub their movies...it takes some time (that means TK's going to dub himself  ...right?)
I know that nobody will be interested but there will be a German DVD release for CoP this fall...I'm so looking forward to his dub voice (sarcasm here...they always give him such a high pitched voice... <_< )
And Paige...I'll do some "homework" today... ...promised...thanks you so much for your help!!!
Correction: Nope, none of the TK movies is dubbed...

Oh my! I have been so 'under the rock', I didn't realise that the movie (like CoP) would take so long to get to Japan, seeing it's an Asian country...Well, the dubbing and stuff for a true Japoanese/or even a German (do they dubb all asian movies?) version, but would the DvD of the chinese with english subtitles be out to the world anyway? Would they wait for it half a year later to watch on cinema?.

Wow, thank you, Miki, for running this forum again. You are a life saver. Now I have to catch up all Takeshi's news. I am so very please. My god. I have been out off this live for quite so long. Thank you again. You are awsome. Thank you.

miki, nice forum. Nice to see some old members here. Hi everyone!!!
I have seen CoP, all I can say is what a waste of money hiring the best actors for this, it took me many attempts to finish this movie. TK needs a better script.

.... I have not seen the movie, but I can so picture Jones as a more sedate Faye Wong, while Law is essentially the Hollywood version of pretty boy Takeshi Kaneshiro with a more vulnerable hairline and better acting chops, and Portman fulfils the role of the kooky Karen Mok in 1995’s Fallen Angels....

There seems to be a lot of news on the TK Dolphin site, including something about an upcoming news conference? I put the text through Babelfish. Can anyone shed some light on this? Tx.
Miki - June 27, 2007 02:17 PM (GMT)
I already posted this a few days ago (as a guest  ).. SamIAm...yes, Tony and Takeshi will attend the Japanese premiere of Cop.
The ladies on the Japanese sites, Dolhin included, are currently "working" on getting cards, there will be just a few hundred cards/invitations (200-400!!!). That's why they are posting every magazine/broadcasting link they can find where you can win those cards. Good luck to them...
The date? Well, July 4th...new pics for us...finally. tuzki06
Day and time: July 4th 6 pm local time
Place: TOHO cinema Roppongi Hills, Tokyo
The official release is on July 7th.
I saw some trailers and I think, though I'm not quite sure, that they won't dub the movie, only sub it. Don't know why, but I know for sure the Winter Song (Perhaps Love) was dubbed.

The webmistress of this blog
http://blog.livedoor.jp/tk_angel/ says that she's knows for sure that the shooting TK did a few weeks ago was NOT for a cm (as I assumed since I don't think he would work on two movies at the same time...but I don't know that) but for a movie...let's wait and see...
Update...yep...seems to be true...some newspaper are writing about the new movie, I just saw the news clip at Dolphin, the Japanese TKblog.
There's a picture...at first I thought it's from Love 2000...but now I'm not quite sure...could be a new one. Please have I look, I'll upload the clip in a few minutes at the clip section
(Hendriell, if you find the new clip on Dolphin please don't paste it, we're not allowed to do so...I'll upload it to Megaupload and give credits...thanks)
Title of the movie...“The accuracy of Death” ...will be out in Spring next year, a Warner Broth. movie...
This is really kind of fresh from the press since some Japanese ladies ran to their local book stores to buy the latest newspapers to share the news this morning...which is right now...so funny!
kay - June 29, 2007 03:05 AM (GMT)
Miki,
Thank you for the news and information. I am now so confused. How many movies that Takeshi is on now? Let put it this way. After COP's, then, he has two period movies on the line, right. Is there another movie that I don't know? Wait...is this the one that you posted....“The accuracy of Death” may be the mysterious movie that I asked about.
Oh...I am so behind, way behind.

All-time greatest HK film heroesSource(...)
Perhaps Love
Hong Kong director Peter Chan continues his quest for love in Perhaps Love - a Chinese-language, Broadway style musical film. The story itself is simple. With its backdrop in present-day Shanghai, a female film star Sun Na (Zhou Xun) runs into her ex-lover, Lin Jiandong (Takeshi Kaneshiro), also a famous actor on a movie set in a circus troupe. But, the actress is now together with the director Nie Wen (Jacky Cheung). Lin harbors mixed love and hatred for Sun, and plots to take revenge to her for ten years of waiting after she left him to chase her dream of being a star. The three characters struggling in the circus troupe movie happened to suffer the same triangle in real life.
Director Peter Chan invites Bollywood choreographer and dancer Farah Khan to design the Broadway-style dance numbers set in Old Shanghai. Zhou Xun has won the Best Actress award for her acting in this film at the 25th Hong Kong Film Awards in 2006.

I hope it's the topic that makes it disgusting for you and not the fact the Bill Gates is at No:2 :D
Btw tvbtiger, what do you think? With TK working on two movies (almost three since Red Cliff will come in two parts) at one time, another movie in post-production...would you say that this could endanger Andy's "hardest working actor in Asia" title? tuzki06
Here some brief news. Tony won't attend the Japanese premiere of CoP :( ...but TK will... :)

No, not really  Andy's currently making a movie, another one in post production, for next two he will make a cameo, in less then 3 weeks he releases a new album, which he will then promote, and on 1st of Sept till end of December he will be on a tour. He has already made 3 MVs for the album, one being released already, the other 2 still to be released. Yesterday he was singing in HK Handover ceremony, today he was on HK's Ocean Park, visiting two new pandas... who knows what he will do tomorrow
Soooo.... 3 movies is not enough to beat this score ;) tuzki06 Unless there's more and you didn't tell me ;)

TK will probably do some magazine stuff and interviews in Japan...maybe he'll be making a commercial...but you are right....the point goes to Andy RunOver
...and btw...I really like your avatar...TK looks good as always even with a tissue in his nostril...I would like to "take revenge" for that on your forum but I have to post a certain amount of messages until I'm allowed to upload myself an avatar... ...the thing is...how can I post something on your forum that you don't already know...? tuzki018

Takeshi Kaneshiro to Star in Japanese Movie 'Accuracy of Death'http://www.asianpopcorn.com/default.asp?Display=793Japanese-Taiwanese actor Takeshi Kaneshiro will be seen in his first Japanese film since the patchy sci-fi “Returner” in 2002, but unfortunately it won’t be that mooted Onimusha movie. Instead he’ll be starring in an adaptation of Isaka Kotaro’s novel “Shinigami no Seido” (Accuracy of Death), about a music-loving death god named Chiba who spends seven days with humans to determine whether they’re worthy candidates for the chop. He always wears white gloves, spends his spare time listening to music in CD shops, and has never seen a blue sky because it rains wherever he goes… which makes it sound a lot closer to “City of Angels” than “Death Note”.
Takeshi Kaneshiro
Other cast members announced so far are Yakusho Koji’s girlfriend in ‘Retribution’, Manami Konishi (owner of the most unsettling spider-like eyes in Japanese showbiz), Ishida Takuya, Mitsuishi Ken and Terajima Shinobu’s mum, Fuji Sumiko. Directing is Kakehi Masaya, an up-and-comer whose “Canned Beauties” (Bijokan) was one of Jasper Sharp’s faves of 2003. That film’s also worth noting for a rare cameo by “Firefly Dreams” and “Starfish Hotel” director John Williams.
Nippon Television is producing, and Warner Brothers will distribute the flick nationwide in spring 2008.

Takeshi Kaneshiro Promotes 'Confession of Pain' in Japan
05/07/2007 In: Posters and Pictures
Yesterday (July 4), Takeshi Kaneshiro and director Andrew Lau (Liu Weiqiang) promote Hong Kong movie ‘Confession of Pain’ in Japan. Japanese pop singer Ayumi Hamasaki also attends the press conference. Ayumi Hamasaki sings the theme song of the movie. Tony Leung was supposed to be there too. However, due to the bad weather and his tight schedule (he is preparing for his next movie), he is unable to come to Japan. He records a video saying that the movie ‘Confession of Pain’ is a special work and the role is different from his previous roles.
Andrew Lau says that it is a breakthrough for both Tony Leung and Takeshi Kaneshiro since Tony plays a bad guy while Takeshi plays a drunkard in the movie. Takeshi Kaneshiro laughs and says that he has to wear fur in summer and drink all everyday on the set. It is a rather painful experience for him, but luckily it helps when shooting the drinking scenes. He also says that Tony Leung is a great actor and he feels at ease when he plays opposite Tony Leung.
