I finally found it, the map I was looking for (I had seen this a long time ago and just remembered). Its a bit vague, and whoever made it doesn't have the best computer art skills, but it gives a general idea of the realm and a few of the cities.

NOTE: I'm hosting this on my own picture site. It was hosted on a tripod site, but they are so strict on who they let view their images and when and where.

Better than nothing, n'est-ce pas?

John of Elden - June 4, 2005 06:27 PM (GMT)
Elden

Elden is an average sized fief located between Trebond and Midelan, and most people’s first people’s impression is it’s green. Very, very, very, green. Trees and shrubs are few it’s more grass than any other type of plant, making it perfect grazing land for cows and sheep. Falls and springs are wet, with rarely a day passing that it doesn’t rain. Winter is much the same way, just dumping snow instead of precipitation. Summers are hot and humid.

Most people of Elden make their profits from raising pasture animals.

Toni of Marmist - June 7, 2005 07:21 PM (GMT)

Marmist

Marmist is an average sized fief. It’s settled into the hills south of the Great Road East and northeast to the great road south. It’s settled just close enough to the desert that it has a warm climate all year. Characterized by its fog and many lakes, rivers, and ponds. It’s beautifully green through most of the year and sheltered from most extreme weather conditions. Most people make their living ivating plants that grow best in the conditions.

Stalwart of Cavall - June 8, 2005 08:32 PM (GMT)
Cavall

Cavall is located at the mouth of a river that feeds into another river that eventually flows in the Lake Naxen. It’s a typical temperate climate The highest temperature reach to the mid seventies and in the winter the temperatures at night aren’t uncommon to dip into the single digits.

Most of the people make their woman logging or hunting.

Antony of Torhelm - July 19, 2005 08:03 PM (GMT)
Fief Torhelm

Torhelm is located in the North and East of Tortall, about as close as you can get to the City of the Gods without it tampering enormously with any magic. Torhelm is a relatively large fief, mainly because most of the terrain is mountains and therefore useless for the majority of legal activities. The rest are flat plains. However several generations back a large vein of iron was found. Once that was mined out the fief was very rich. Of course that was several generations back. Now there is lumbering and farming and the occasional adventurous herder. People are still searching manually through the mountains for any more valuable metals that may exist. There is a medium sized town on the road North with a rather succesful inn. There are farms regulary occuring on the plains. The mountains are a rather wild untamed sort of place. The temperatures there are rather extreme in the winter. Summer is pleasantly mild. Spring is rather wet but has a reasonable frame of temperature. Fall is generally the favorite season in the fief. Temperatures hover in the low 20's (70's) for the majority of the season, and the mountains turn absolutely beautiful with all the trees changing.

I'm going to edit this later because it appears messy, but I'm sure more than half of us have chosen to place our fiefs in the Tirragen area. I don't really understand why this is, but Tortall isn't that big a country, and this is starting to become ridiculous. Tirragen is on the map, therefore it must be big, and even if the others are small, there's still not enough room to fit them all.

Just something to consider. Someone might want to add that onto the instructions.

Edit: I looked it over again afterwards, and realized that I was most likely overreacting. But still.

Jono Starsmore - July 20, 2005 12:35 AM (GMT)
The only one really is Marmist and that ones in southerhill country.

Eulia - July 21, 2005 08:02 PM (GMT)
I'll change it just for you
