Title: Room Number 40A
Description: Hanna finds her room- already messy?

Hanna Syria - May 25, 2005 09:02 PM (GMT)
(OOC: I wrote this up during my TWO AND A HALF HOUR LONG Gym class today. I hate Gym... but anyways! ^_^)

"Rooms are assigned based on age, as far as your grade level that is, and gender. Your roomates will all be female, and in the same year of study as yourself," the servant explained, after one of many questions from the fourteen-year-old student. Hanna nodded to show she was listening. "I believe that only one or two have arrived." He muttered something incoherent about late children.

"Ah," she nodded again. Heesh, this guy was boring! Hanna practically sighed in annoyance with him- sure, she wanted to know these things, but couldn't there be some amazingly cute guy to answer her questions? 'If all the guys around here are plain, I think I'll die,' the girl thought to herself unhappily. 'I need hot, sexy men please!'

"Classes aren't always full of only your year-mates, t- oh! Here we are, room 40A." He handed her a key to the door. Locks on dorm room doors had been instated whena rich parent had vehemently attacked the fact that her poor child had his room's trashed by some other students. Only the people living in the room would have keys, unless another was made specially.

Hanna smiled as cheerfully as she could to the bored man. "Thank you, I think I'll be fine on my own from here." He easily caught the dismissal and nodded, leaving. Hanna opened her door and walked in gratefully. 'Thank the gods he's gone!' Her happier thoughts vanished when she realized just what her room looked like.

Messy, unfolded clothes were strewn about the fairly-sized room, hanging from bedposts, chairs, a bookshelf, and anything else that didnt move. Furniture was haphazardly knocked over or jutting out from their normal, proper places. The thin, light brown carpet that covered their floor was stained in places here and there- whenever she could actually see the darn floor, buried under papers and hairthings and clothes and normal room stuff. A slightly nauseating smell- Hanna sniffed, was that.. rotten milk? Ew!- permeated what ought to be her perfect temporary home.

A vein bulged. An eye twitched. "I. Am. Going. To. KILL my roomate!" Hanna growled in short, halting sentences, her green eyes furious. Immediately, she dropped her things, and rushed about the room to fix this horrible nightmare.

Some good hours later, the girl sat contentedly on her clean, neat bed. She had chosen a bottom bunk- there were two bunk beds total, one on the left wall from the door and one on the right- on the beds on the left. Her things were neatly put away in the chest at the foot of her bed. The clothes that had previously cluttered the room, all of them, were in the capable hands of laundry maids. Hanna hadn't been able to tell which were dirty of clean, but they'd all been rumpled anyway. Fresh sheets were on each bed, and she had found the rotting milk and thrown it away. A maid promised to come in some time later with something for the smell, as well as something for the carpet stains, which hadn't washed off when Hanna had tried to clean them. A few spots of mold, cobwebs, or grime had been cleaned off by the girl as well. Though she hadn't ever done much in the way of chores before, she'd certainly seen plenty of maids do it. And if maids could do it, so could she.

Other than the bunk beds, the room held only a few pieces of furniture. A table was set in the middle of the room, and two desks sat against the far wall, three feet from each other, with the parchment and other school stuffs inside them. On the same wall, to the right and left of the desks, were smallish closets, two of them. For the other two of the room's inhabitants, there were large chests at the foot of each bunk bed. Both closets had already been filled- with mess, of course- so Hanna supposed they were claimed by her other roomates.

"That was..." she picked out a word carefully after a moment, "...very tiring. Those maids who spend all day cleaning after others are minor deities, I swear. I'm going to have a nice long yell at whoever started that disgusting mess."

She rubbed her hands together gleefully. "On a completely different subject, I'm bored, and it's time to go make friends!" And with that, Hanna cheerfully skipped out of her room, locking it behind her, and went off in search of someplace with lots of people.

(OOC: And now... to the Library! Or someplace I think she can find people. ^_^; Whee, I think... Edit: O_O I just realized how long this darned thing is. Silly me. I get carried away.)
