Title: Miya's Royal chambers
Princess Miya - May 3, 2005 12:01 AM (GMT)
Miya’s wrist had been broken, not sprained and the healer had sped the healing along, but it was still tender and a loop of bandages wound about the wrist and looped up and over the thumb and ended just after her knuckles.
She rotated her wrist, wincing a little before letting it fall to her side. She walked over to her vanity, loosing her wealth of her hair, and picking up her brush. There was few things more annoying than brushing her hair with her left hand. But she couldn’t do anything about it.
Hayden LaRue - May 3, 2005 12:47 AM (GMT)
Hayden snuck down the hallway. Why me? he wondered as he peeked around the corner of the hallway. For a moment he stared at the door, realizing there was one of two things he could—barge in potentially bad or be polite and wait.
He chose the former and opened the door, eyes closed. “Princess Miya?” He asked.
Princess Miya - May 3, 2005 01:03 AM (GMT)
Miya had picked up her comb to work a particularly stubborn when her door burst open. She whirled around ing her dagger up from beside her and was about to hurl it at the intruder when he politely addressed her and she noticed his eyes were closed.
“Who’re you?”
If he planned on carrying her off, he was doing an overly polite job about it.
Priestess Kataru - May 3, 2005 08:30 PM (GMT)
Kataru had just returned from talking to Kind Roald. She knocked on the Princess's door and walked in.
"Miya your father..." She looked at Hayden. "Who are you!" She took a fighting stance ready to attack the intruder.
Hayden LaRue - May 3, 2005 11:14 PM (GMT)
Not hearing the high-pitch shriek that usually happened when a woman’s space was invaded, Hayden opened one eye, and then the other. He bowed a little at Miya. “Princess, I’m—” He was interrupted by someone else.
He pulled a piece of thick paper out. “Call me Hayden, I’ve been put in charge of getting her highness to safety.”
Princess Miya - May 4, 2005 12:23 AM (GMT)
Miya looked at him. So it was coming to this, she had expected. She rose to her feet and slammed the door closed. “Is everything ready to go? Horses, provisions, papers?” She asked, opening her wardrobe and throwing a sac onto the bed and quickly following it with clothes.
Priestess Kataru - May 4, 2005 12:54 AM (GMT)
"Ah, yes...Master Hayden." she relaxed and bowed. "I was just informed that this was going to happen."
She turned to the young princess. "Is there anything that you need me to help with Miya?"
Princess Miya - May 4, 2005 01:04 AM (GMT)
Miya shook her head, disappearing behind her changing screen, squirming into her plainest pair of clothes. She wadded up her clothes and threw the bundle into the cupboard. She grabbed a set of boots and hoped across the floor, picking up her combs and brush and dumping them into her bag. With the deftness that comes with a lot of practice, she separated her hair into three strands and began braiding them. “They told you? I'm so glad that everyone but me is notified when my life is hangign in the balance," Miya fumed.
Priestess Kataru - May 4, 2005 01:14 AM (GMT)
"I'm sorry milady. I was coming back to tell you to start getting ready, but I guess Master Hayden beat me to it."
She walked back into her room and grabbed her travel packs. She threw it over her shoulder and grabbed three weapons off the wall.
She walked back into Miya's room. "Are you ready yet milady?" she asked as she leaned her glaive up against the wall and shoved two flat daggers into each of her boots.
Hayden LaRue - May 4, 2005 10:20 PM (GMT)
Hayden lowered his head, listening to Miya grumble. He had been told the Princess had a temper and hoped that stories had been exaggerated, but for some reason he didn’t think so.
“If you’re both ready?” He said, taking a step back toward the door and opening it. “Ladies first?”
Princess Miya - May 7, 2005 02:01 AM (GMT)
Miya grabbed her bag, slinging it over her shoulder. “Mr. Hayden, so where are we going. I like to have some idea of where I’m being dragged to in the middle of the night.” She stepped into the hall and turned expectantly to Hayden and Kataru.
Priestess Kataru - May 7, 2005 06:12 PM (GMT)
Kataru grabbed her glaive, and threw her packs over her shoulders. She followed the princess to the door, but allowed her to go first.
"Milady, I don't know where were going. Your father told me the Master Hayden had it already arranged."
Hayden LaRue - May 14, 2005 04:39 PM (GMT)
“There’s no master about it,” Hayden shook his head. “Just Hayden.” He turned the princess. “And they don’t even tell me that much. I’m to take you through the royal forest.” It had been something that Hayden had protested profusely. Taking the princess through Spidren territory didn’t sound smart to him, but Gods knew that all higher ups were crazy.
Priestess Kataru - May 17, 2005 12:25 AM (GMT)
"Sorry, you half to forgive me for that." She followed the princess through the hallway. "So do you at least know which direction we are going to head in Hayden?" she asked him.
