History: Kathlayne was born in Pirate's Swoop to Lord Gareden and Lady Arayne at the begining of May. She lived there until she was three, and had a happy life. At the age of three, she traveled all around Tortall, but she doesn't remember much of that.

Then, for about a year, she moved in with her grandparents while her mother and father went to Galla to visit family and friends (her father was born there, although his parents were nobles of Tortall). She enjoyed this time, roaming in the country, riding (something she loves to do), and pretending she was a great knight. When her grandfather saw her games, he decided to teach her the basics of archery and the beginings of swordplay.

Her mother had always wanted a lady, besides herself, in the family. So, when Kathlayne was nine, her mother began making preparations for her to go to the convent. Kathlayne was forced to wear frilly dresses, and walk, and act like a lady, something she despises.

But Kathlayne was VERY rebelious, and continued her daily pre-knight school practices. Finally, she convinsed her parents that she would make a better knight than a lady.

So, now she's at knight school. She has made many good friends, and really enjoys her life as a page.

Personality: Kathlayne is a very determined, and somewhat stubborn. She isn't really shy around people her age, up to squire's-age. But, with adults, she is rather shy, unless she knows them. She can be mischievious, if she knows she won't be caught right away, or punished badly. She is often the origin of secret outings to the city, as well as rides after dark.

Kathlayne is very smart. She likes to learn, but she finds subjects like history boring. Mathmatics, Music, and Art are more her type of subjects. She does well in her classes, and darely has to do extra, or redo anything.

Kathlayne has quite a temper, when one gives her something to be angry about (otherwise she is quite peaceful). She can scream and yell, but that rarely happens. Mostly, she will simply give you a telling off, and occasionally threaten you, using harsh words. She regrets this afterwards, though. When she is annoyed rather than really angry, she uses cool comebacks, and then, having done a suffisiant job, will walk away.

Physical Appearance: Kathlayne has bright green eyes and shoulder-lenght wavy red hair. She is slightly tall for her age, standing 5' 3". Kathlayne weighs about 110 pounds. She has a thin face with full lips and a small nose. She has a light complection, and has rosy cheeks, that vary in shade according to her nerves or how deep her blush. Kathlayne's face is dotted with freckles, and more come when she spents long amounts of time in the sun.
