Title: At Work
Description: Caissa is..well..at work. Any customers?
Caissa of Whitehorn - April 11, 2005 03:22 PM (GMT)
Caissa sat back in her chair behind the large desk piled high with books. "See you, Morgan!" she called as her customer struggled out the door, holding at least 10 books. Morgan managed a small wave, and then disappeared out into the busy market.
"Let's see..." Caissa muttered, as she did the calculations for how much Morgan had paid v. how much Morgan owed her...not her strong point, really. Well, then, Morgan still owed her four nobles.
With all those stupid calculations done, Caissa sat back with The History of the Immortals War and relaxed, waiting for the next customer.
Katherine of Blackwater - April 11, 2005 08:54 PM (GMT)
Katherine of Blackwater walked into the store. She saw the girl reading and quietly started looking at all the books. She needed to find a certain book and wasn't having any luck finding it.
"Excuse me..." she whispered. "I was wondering if you had the book Mystic Tales of the Ocean by Klyn of Blackwater in stock would you?"
Penelope of Whitehorn - April 12, 2005 10:28 PM (GMT)
Penelope of Whitehorn opened the door to the store, and walked up to the desk where her cousin sat. Not wanting to desturb her and her costomer, Penelope waited quietly, looking at the books on a shelf near by. After looking for a bit, she selected a book titled Famous Knight's Steeds, she moved on to the next shelf.
When her cousin saw her, Penelope waved, but seeing she was still helping her costumer, she went on looking at the books. She found another one, Wild Magic: Tales and Accounts Told by the People.
Caissa of Whitehorn - April 13, 2005 02:10 AM (GMT)
"Hm?" Caissa looked up from her book. "Let's see, Klyn of Blackwater..." she got out of her chair. First she looked in her stack of books about the ocean. Then she looked at the shelf of Bla through Bro. "Blackwater..." With a triumphant shout, she removed the desired book from the shelf and thrust it into the girl's hands. "Here you go!" she announced. Glancing around the store, Caissa laughed, "I'm sorry if you couldn't find the book at first. I have an extremely odd way of sorting books."
As she moved to the desk to count how much the book cost, she spotted her cousin. "Ho, Penelope!" she called. "I'll be with you in a moment!"
Katherine of Blackwater - April 14, 2005 12:24 AM (GMT)
Katherine took the book. "Thank-you very much. I've been searching for my mother's book everywhere. I'm glad you had it." She walked up to the counter. "How much will it cost?"
Penelope of Whitehorn - April 15, 2005 09:34 PM (GMT)
Penelope waved at her cousin, then turned back to the books. She looked closer at the books arrangment, thinking about her cousin's way of sorting books. Even though it was an odd thing to do, Penelope enjoyed puzzles. After a moment, she had discovered the system. "Very much a Whitehorn system," She mumbled with a laugh.
Caissa of Whitehorn - April 23, 2005 01:43 AM (GMT)
"Your mother? So you are Katherine of Blackwater, then?" Caissa smiled as she tried to hurry the calculations. "I'm Caissa of Whitehorn, made obvious by the name of my store. I met your mother, once." Handing the book back to Katherine, she announced, "That will be 8 coppers, if you please. We don't price very high here."
Kathlayne of Pirate's Swoop - April 25, 2005 10:50 PM (GMT)
Penelope put the two books under her arm and stepped up to the counter behind Katherine. She smiled at the page, and asked how she was. Then she reached into her purse and pulled out the money for the books.
Penelope of Whitehorn - April 26, 2005 01:04 AM (GMT)
ooc-sorry I posted as Kathlayne, I forgot to log out. This thing with two accounts is driving me crazy. And sorry for the short post, I didn't know what else to say...
Katherine of Blackwater - April 26, 2005 02:13 AM (GMT)
"Nice to meet you Caissa" she said as she placed 8 coppers on the counter. "And thank you for helping me find my mother's book." She bowed and walked away from the counter.
She walked away from the counter and saw Penelope. "Hello," she said bowing to her. "I'm Katherine of Blackwater. You must be Penelope of Whitehorn. My brother has spoken of you and his discription fit perfectly."
Caissa of Whitehorn - April 26, 2005 02:34 AM (GMT)
"Well what do you know?" Caissa laughed. "It appears that we all know each other." She took the books from her cousin's hands and checked which ones they were. "Let's see, now..."
Penelope of Whitehorn - April 26, 2005 09:42 PM (GMT)
"Hmm..yes...Daniel of Blackwater" Penelope struggled with her not-so-good memory, not to metion, she wasn't much acquainted with many knight"....nice fellow...as I recall..sorry...I really don't remeber much about school...but I remember him. I should make a point to talk to him sometime, catch up. Well, nice to meet you, Katherine! I hope to see you around the castle again!" Penelope said.
So handed her cousin the coins, and asked, "Do you have any suggestions about good books? I will have lots of spare time now that I'm back at the castle."
Katherine of Blackwater - April 27, 2005 08:38 PM (GMT)
"Well he is coming to visit tomorrow. And I believe I am going to meet him at the Dancing Dove. If you would like to join us I would be honored, Lady Knight." She bowed to the older girl.
She turned to Caissa. "Thank-you for the books. See you in a couple of days!" And started heading out the door.
Penelope of Whitehorn - May 1, 2005 10:54 PM (GMT)
Penelope waved at Katherine of Blackwater. "What time is he coming? If I'm not tied up at the time, I'd like to see him again." She asked. It sure will be nice to get out of the castle, have a little fun.she thought.
Katherine of Blackwater - May 1, 2005 11:34 PM (GMT)
"He told me to meet him at noon tomorrow. If you can make it, I'll see you tomorrow." She waved and walked out the door.
Kathlayne of Pirate's Swoop - May 1, 2005 11:42 PM (GMT)
"Well, I'lll try to be there!" she said, and then turned to her cousin, saying "Well, any good suggestions on books? Mithros, I've been bored out of my wits at the palace! I need something to do."
