---Character Information

Name: Radevel of Naxen
Age: 10
Birthplace: Naxen
Position: Minor Noble

History: Radevel was born to the Noble family in Naxen to a cousin of the Gareth's of Naxen, but the relation is so distant as to be almost none existent. His Family is probable the lowest ranked noble family in Naxen, they are not even landed nobles. Radevel grew up with many of his cousin's there, and despite his low rank, was praised by the Arms master at Naxen for his quick learning ability. He spent time in the Duchess of Naxen's Manor running errands for her as one of her house pages, and so she taught him high court manors, and ensured that he was always dressed as if attended the Queen. He got this position because his mother Reigna was one of the Duchess' hand maidens before marrying his father, Radevel Sr. of Naxen. His father spent many hours teaching Radevel how to ride since the family's main income was a successful breeding stable. Being the oldest in a family of 5 siblings, he has 3 brothers and a sister, he was first off to Corus to be enrolled as a page and make great gains for his family.

Personality: Radevel is a confident youth, polite and chivalrous to a point thanks to the gentlemanly manners taught to him by the Duchess. He is also outgoing and impulsive, but usually manages to keep a cool temper under most situations. He's not very poetic, and can be rather blunt, being such a low ranked noble, he sometimes exhibits traits usually associated with commoners. He is very knightly , and having a younger sister he has been taught to stand up for women. He is anxious, and curious, and often quite clever. A good spirited boy.

Physical Appearance: Being only ten years old, her is still short with some of his baby fat yet to be thinned out. But he is well muscled for his age, and if he turns out anything like his father he will be a tall lean man, with a well sculpted muscular build. He has blue black think hair that never lays quite right, and blue-grey eyes. His face usually appears mischievous because of the way his brows angle, and the smirk on his face. He will be strikingly handsome one day despite a sharp hawk-like nose, with a dark attractive look. A think scar lines his chin, from a cut he received when he fell off his first horse at the young age of five.

Sample Post:

Radevel, seated atop his black mare Windsweep, rode single file behind his father's guard's man as they passed through the gates of Corus. He kept a steady seat with the look of one accustomed to riding despite his young age. One hand had a firm grasp of his reigns, more to calm his nervous finger than to guide the horse usually guided by signals from his knees. The other played with the hilt of his belt knife, the only piece of weaponry he was allowed to wear until he earned his sword.

He starred at the bustling city around him, and though he had been to Corus before, somehow today felt like the first time all over again. Closing his gapping jaw, he swallowed hard and reflected on what his father had told him before he left.

"Son, you're looking at the hardest 8 years of your life, but assuredly some of the best. Work hard, keep up with your studies and enjoy yourself. You have no need to make your family proud, for we are already more than proud of you, but now is your chance to live up to your name. This knife was my father's he gave it to me on the day I became a page, I'm giving it to you so that you will remember your duty to your family. Keep it well, and remember we keep you in our hearts."

Heavy words to place on the conscious of a ten year old, but Radevel took them to heart. He would live up to the expectations of his family, and make them proud. He thought this as the road changed from Market Way to Palace Way and they entered the Temple District. The road was lined with hundreds of temples, highlighted by the huge Temple of the Great Mother Goddess. Radevel took this all in as if breathing in a breath of suddenly fresh air. And then in front them rose City Gate, and behind it the palace grounds. Radevel looked at his new home, and dreams of adventure swelled in his heart.
