It was high noon. The sun was warm and the day was breezy. Perfect. And the only thing Wart was looking forward to was a nice, warm bed with a mattress..

But that was hours off yet.

If he hadn’t invested so much time into becoming a knight, he would seriously consider becoming a player.

He ran a few steps before turning over a quick handspring. “Ah, it’s good to be back.”

"Pretty good." Daniel said watching the 17 year old do a handspring. He walked up to the boy, "I'm Daniel of Blackwater. Nice to meet you." he said smiling hold out his hand.

“I didn’t stick, I double bounced,” Wart grumped before smiling and taking Daniel’s hand. “Call me Wart.” He had learned at a young age that some people weren’t particularly bright and didn’t understand that his name happened to be an adjective.

Daniel smiled hearing the boys name. "Your a squire right, maybe you happened to run into my sister by any chance? She's a third year page. her name is Katherine. If not maybe I can stay here and do a couple of flips with you!" he said doing a back handspring, then a back tuck. He laughed after he landed. " Care to try?"

Wart shook his head. “I haven’t been here for three years. I’ve been running around the country, well not, walking, riding, but still I haven’t been in Corus for more than a week at a time.”

"Oh, I see. Guess i'll have to go look for her later. So tell me about traveling the country..."

“Not much to say,” Wart shrugged. “I spent most of my day riding my horse, if we were lucky nothing would happen. You’d set up camp, sleep on the cold, hard ground, wake up and do it over again.” He shrugged. "It would have been a lot more fun if I'd be traveling with a group of players."

Katherine walked out of the stables. She had just finished visiting her horse Seabreeze. She saw her brother and another boy. She walked up to him and smiled. "Brother! what are you doing here?"

She turned to Wart. "Um...Hi...I'm Katherine of Blackwater" she whispered.

Wart bowed quickly at the younger page. “Just call me Wart, everybody else. Pleased to meet you, Katherine.”

Katherine bowed back. "And same to you"

She walked over and hugged her brother. "I see you've meet my outgoing brother..." She smiled

Wart nodded, fingers resting lightly on his sword hilt. He glanced between the two. They looked alike. He tucked a lock of hair behind his ear. He didn’t have any siblings. “Yeah, we were just talking.”

"That sounds nice..."she said. "Hope I wasn't interupting anything..."

Wart shook his head. "No, not at all. Although, I dislike being the third wheel and bursting in on happy family reunions."
