Title: Artemis of Tirragen
Description: Squire

Artemis of Tirragen - April 4, 2005 04:41 AM (GMT)
Player Name: Emmi (see Thomas Rede)

Name: Artemis (“Arty”) of Tirragen

Age: 16

Birthplace: Tirragen

Position: Squire

History: Being from Tirragen, a shamed fiefdom, Arty was born in semi-poverty, due to the heinous taxes the King exacts from once-rebellious subjects. And so he is somewhat reserved in his loyalty to the king, although certainy not to the extent of the rest of his family. Prospective knight-masters question this too, and so Arty has yet to be chosen as someone’s squire. Now, he serves as a desk-knight’s apprentice, bloody boring work if you ask him, but then again, he doesn’t have much of a choice.

When he told his family of his wish to be a knight, they nearly disowned him. That is, at first. When he explained that he planned to bring honor back to their fief, and that he was not afraid of what the King, or anyone else for that matter did or said, they began to consider. When he set off for the palace, it was with their blessings.

Arty has two younger sisters back at home, Merslind and Alinna, of whom he is very protective. Believe it or not, they actually like each other. Notice he’ll be writing to them quite a bit…

Personality: Arty has been rather single-minded in his page training, so much though that he seems to forget all other aspects of his life. While it’s great that he’s working to uphold his oath, etc, he could probably use a few friends. Arty’s quiet and reserved, not one to stand out from the crowd. He’s always courteous, even when he dislikes a person. You could almost say its like he’s in an ice cube – distant from others, with completely different motivations, etc. His true personality is somewhere in there, the one with the sense of humor and quick wit, which unfortunately has only so far only shown itself when among his two sisters. It seems, however, that that ice cube is slowly but surely beginning to melt…

Physical Appearance: A lot like his great-uncle Alex, which is probably why most knights wouldn’t even consider choosing him as their squire (those history lessons really did their job…). His hair is thick and dark with a slight wave, neither long nor short. His eyes are dark as well, set in a slightly longish face. His chin is square and his nose is fleshy. He is of average height, and somewhat muscular, a leftover from his days of page training, which he unfortunately has had little time to keep up.
