Title: Checking Out the Squires
Description: Penelope of Whitehorn looks for a squire
Penelope of Whitehorn - April 4, 2005 12:48 AM (GMT)
Penelope of Whitehorn walked into the Great Hall. SHe was looking for a squire to help her with her work. Even though she didn't like to be around people a lot, not to mention she normally didn't need help because of her Gift, she wanted to, one, give a squire a chance to help her, giving her less work, and ,two, she wanted to somewhat overcome her thin connection with the world.
She saw many squires gathered around her, and wondered which one she would pick.

[Hey, I'll be a squire. That is, if no one else wants to be yours... )]
Adelais of Aili - April 4, 2005 01:58 AM (GMT)
OOC-Same here, I just have to get my character accepted first. You can read about my character here:http://s7.invisionfree.com/Realm_of_Tortall/index.php?showtopic=218 If your interested just let me know. :)
Princess Miya - April 4, 2005 02:04 AM (GMT)
(OOC: ACCEPTED not excepted))

[Lol Miya's on a spelling witch-hunt! You can take the spot if you'd lie Adelais (real name?), I haven't even *created* a character for the position yet... :)]
Adelais of Aili - April 4, 2005 02:30 AM (GMT)
It doesn't bother me either way. My name is Lizzie.

[Err... sorry to be off topic, but... Penelope, your character hasn't been accepted yet. Could you wait until she is to start playing her?]
Penelope of Whitehorn - April 5, 2005 03:18 PM (GMT)
ooc: uh, you accepted me. you said I just had to incorperate magic into my bio and change a mistake i made about where the K'mir live, and i did that.
ic: As squires rushed up, Penelope was over welmed. She had NO idea which one to pick: they all looked strong and very willing to help. She saw the pleading look in their eyes, and she remembered when she was a squire, waiting for a knight to choose her. She had kept hoping she would be picked for a knights squire soon, but it took a long time.

[Penelope, or whatever your name is, probably the more appropriate place to check would be the squire's mess. And I hate to be such a prick, but do you seriously think there are that many unwanted squires? Also, how would they know she is a knight?]
Artemis was walking downth Great Hall, in deep thought. It wasn't until he bumped into someone and nearly fell over that he noticed the gathering semi-crowd in front of him. Curious - but also realizing he had to get back to Sir Ervin's office - he dusted himself off, readjusted his glasses, and moved on, but not without a significant glance over his shoulder...

ooc-uh....well, sorry such things displease you, your highness*Bows head very low in shame, and then gets on knees and begs for forgivness*, and how would they know she's a knight? well, think. how many other people in nobles clothing, wearing armor, who some of them know(she lives in the palace). Also, she's five nine, i believe, and is 20. moving right along...and, by the way, yes, their are several squires looking for a knight to serve, some of them my friends who have just joined. and, im Soooooooooo sorry i didn't know the exact number of squires without a knight to serve were few. and, another by the way, their are only three knights, and more squires than that. and i DID NOT say that they were unwanted!!!
ps-srry we got off to this bad start, but i guess it couldn't be helped, not with your post and my temper.
Falik Al Basiri - April 8, 2005 01:11 PM (GMT)
OOC: Hey, always the one to want to avoid conflict. Why don't we write this thread off to history and then start over. It's very out of character anyway so...y'know.
Penelope of Whitehorn - April 8, 2005 05:50 PM (GMT)
ooc-yeah, i agree. and i DONT appreciate when people butt in their charries without reason and then just rush off.
i think i will make a new, serious, thread about this, and i hope that random people won't butt in their charries.
Artemis of Tirragen - April 8, 2005 07:54 PM (GMT)
[*whistles* Ok, dear, the idea was not to make you angry. Although admittedly I seem to have a talent for that, especially online. My point was - well never mind my point... But the idea of that post was that you could have called at Artemis if you really wanted to - I don't know if you saw, but someone else already wanted you to be their knight master, and I was allowing them that opportunity.]
Penelope of Whitehorn - April 9, 2005 12:10 PM (GMT)
ooc- sorry, I get a bit, shall we say, carried away in my temper. And, sorry, I don't really get the idea, but thats ok.
