Thomas Rede - April 3, 2005 09:39 PM (GMT)
I'm having trouble relating my character to current day stuff. The mindset just isn't the same. But seriously, how would *I* know what he listens to? I don't even know what most guys listen to, although I'm assuming something along the lines of Snow Patrol, and other hard rock stuff (Snow Patrol isn't really hard rock though). Oh whatever. I give up.

Stalwart of Cavall - April 3, 2005 09:48 PM (GMT)
See, that's the fun of it. You have to sit there and think. It's really weird seeing your char take on life its own.

Meridan of Redrose - April 4, 2005 12:24 AM (GMT)
I get into my characters really easily, lol...I think it's because I make them a lot like me, but that's not necessarily a good thing. I really need to branch out.

Thomas Rede - April 4, 2005 01:22 AM (GMT)
Oh lol. See, I always think of my characters as people of their own, so therefore I can't always relate to them. It's like they make their own desicions all on their own, no help from me. I could almost talk to them if I wanted to, except then maybe people would *really* start calling me crazy. Hmph.

What you said just made me feel horribly inferior, but I still can't for the life of me guess what Thomas'd be doing in the present.

Meridan of Redrose - April 4, 2005 12:22 PM (GMT)
i'm sorry...i wasn't trying to make anyone feel inferior, and I'm not sure why you feel that way. I was saying it's not a good thing to only make characters like yourself. I'm stuck in a rut...I think it's good that your charries have different personalities :)

That's exactly how I feel.

If you want to know I've had Hayden around since I was five, he was my imaginary friend.

We had this thing called the IMAGINATION STATION, and the lady sent me home with a note that said I was having trouble with the fantastic since I was the only one with a human friend.

Meridan of Redrose - April 5, 2005 11:59 PM (GMT)
lol! What's wrong with having a human imaginary friend? They're still imaginary...

Artemis of Tirragen - April 7, 2005 09:41 PM (GMT)
*cracks up* Kit, that's hilarious. Thomas is a lot like that - he was my first role play character (although then he was Tomas, and lived in Middle Earth, and had a family like the Mafia, and was probably a little odder than he is now), and Thomas Rede is *sort of* an extension of him, although probably a younger one, less mature, if that's possible (actually, it is), and without an alternate personality thingy, which could probably be more accurately called an alternate *mask*. Um... so you see how he couldn't exactly live in the real world?

Wait - did you just call them *imaginary*? Honey, let me tell you, they ain't imaginary in my head. *sniggers crazily*

Hayden LaRue - April 7, 2005 09:58 PM (GMT)
I know Hayden's not. I carry on lengthy conversations with him and a few more of my better known characters.

He is a bit annoying.

Hayden: Annoying? Moi? Never!

Meridan of Redrose - April 7, 2005 11:34 PM (GMT)
*sighs happily* Captain Jack's my hero too  he rocks...so does Johnny!

Artemis of Tirragen - April 10, 2005 01:52 AM (GMT)
I don't like Johnny Depp, really, because he's like 50 and kinda gross and everyone thinks he's hot, but his one redeeming quality is that he actually can act. Very well in fact. I heard Finding Neverland was really excellent, and now I really want to see it. Kate Winset's in it too. Anyone seen it, that can give me an opinion?

Hayden LaRue - April 10, 2005 02:15 AM (GMT)
Twas excellent. It almost made me cry.

Quite a feat. I don't cry over movies.

Meridan of Redrose - April 10, 2005 01:40 PM (GMT)
i need to see it! i finally saw napoleon dynamite, since no one would shut up about it. very stupid movie, yet pathetically hilarious.

Ashley Calhoun - April 10, 2005 05:38 PM (GMT)
Kudos to you, I could sit through that piece oc garbage. My IQ dropped five points in teh first minute.

Thomas Rede - April 10, 2005 06:13 PM (GMT)
Hah! Napoleon Dynamite made me want to cry! It was so sad! In fact - I really hate to say it, that goddamn place reminds me of my school...

And then I saw it a couple more times while on a skiing trip (the lodge had a bigscreen TV,and that was it) and realized it was actually funny. But it still makes me kind of sad.

Meridan of Redrose - April 12, 2005 12:14 AM (GMT)
why? is it a sad movie? i didn't think so, lol, it makes me depressed about the decline of modern culture...but it wasn't sad, really

Eulia - July 27, 2005 03:37 PM (GMT)
In high school, what “group” would your character be in? (Example: Goths, the Braniacs, etc)

Bad boy/girl group. The types who declare war on the cheerleaders and jocks, and yet never do anything that can be proven against them and have good grades. Everyone would think she cheated.

Given that your character had unlimited funds, what would their mode of transportation be?

Something not too noticeable but still unique, like a classic car. Like A mustang pre-ford

What would they be when they “grew up”?

Spy with individual purposes. Or proffesional thief. Or Gang member like in fight club or something grand scale like that.

What would your character be doing at a party after they had been there for a few hours?

Watching the flirty girls with disgust, maybe talking to someone interesting. Probably have a bottle of beer that she wasn't drinking.

Favorite song?

I don't know the names of any songs. Yeah, so I skip that by general lack of knowledge. I know, I'm pathetic.

Favorite movie?

Action. Like spy game, so she could laugh and go home and rage about the absurdity of the movie.

Also given unlimited funds, what kind of housing would they live in?

Nondescript bungalow that looks small but is suprizingly large.

What kind of pets would they have?

Probably something intimidating, like a boa constrictor. Or something that would freak most people out. Black cat, albino rat, ferret, rottweiler that was disgustingly friendly but showed happiness by baring teeth. that sort of thing.

Finding Neverland made me cry to. The last one that made me cry was A walk to remember, very cheesy but totally sad. But Finding Neverland was beautiful.

Toni of Marmist - July 28, 2005 03:18 AM (GMT)
In high school, what “group” would your character be in? (Example: s, the Brainiacs, etc)

The Motley Crew, the people who defy a singular group name and when asked about one person, you get about three different answers at a minimum. In short pretty much the same group I hang out with.

Given that your character had unlimited funds, what would their mode of transportation be?

Something hot but dependable like a Volvo convertible

What would they be when they “grew up”?

Something behind the scenes in the movies or theater like a cinematographer or editor

Action Flicks with an actual plot sort of like The Matrix, thrillers like Saw, and Mel Brooks’s movies

A Victorian/Tudor style house that has a lot of room and a few fancy touches like hardwood, beveled glass, French doors, etc.

What kind of pets would they have?

A mammal of some sort like a rabbit or a chinchilla or a dog
