Kataru rode into the stables, and got off her gelding Midnight.

"Good thing you know you way to the palace Midnight." she said gently. "I wouldn't of been able to find it without you." she swung off her horse and brought him inside. She put him into a stall and started unsaddling him.

"I wonder who stays here at the palace stables besides the horses? I sense some sort of magic in here..."

Natalia's head stuck out of the tack room where she had been cleaning her saddle. Was that the sound of hooves. Reaching out with a tendril of her magic she sensed a new horse. A gelding. Hmm she thought to herself as she walked towards the horse's stall, I wasn't expecting someone new.

Breaching the open stall door she saw a girl inside standing by the gelding she had sensed. Brushing a strand of dark blonde hair, gone brown from the sun, away from her face she said "Hi! I am Natalia Baynes the palace stablehand." she smiled warmly at the other girl.

Kataru heard footsteps approaching the stall. She faced the girl as she introducted herself.

"Nice to meet you Natalia, my name is Kataru Minamoto. I'm a warrior from the Yamani Islands." She looked at the girl.Her magic is quite strong. Though I can't figure out what kind of magic it is..." She lost her train of thought when her horse nudged her in the back of the shoulder. Kataru laughed "And this is Midnight"

Midnight walked up to Natalia and bowed his head to the ground.Nice to meet you!

Natalia smiled at the girl and patted the horses neck. -Aren't you a beautiful boy!- she said mind to mind with the horse. "You have a good horse here." she made her self concentrate on what Kataru had said. It was so easy to be pulled into her magic.

"Yamani Islands? Really? Thats a long way! What made you come to Corus?" she asked while scratching the horses face.

Midnight stood up.-Thanks. I have a good owner.- He nudged Kataru again then walked up to Natalia.-You smell like me...- the horse said.

Kataru watched as her horse walked up to Natalia. " You'll have to forgive him. He likes meeting new people."

"I acutally lived by fief Goldenlake when I was little, but then my mother took me to the Yamani Islands after my father was killed. I lived there until about... two months ago. Though nobody wanted me to leave..." she laughed. "But I did anyway. And to be honest the Emperor wasn't happy about losing his Commander."

Natalia nodded thoughtfully. And just patted the horse. "How are you liking Corus so far?" she stepped out of the horses stall and looked over the girl's tack. It all seemed to be in good condition. She picked up the saddle and bridle and headed off towards where the tack was kept.

"Walk with me?" she asked. Natalia had bit back saying it as a command. She was just a stable hand here.
