Caissa lazily stretched out her cramped muscles as she got out of bed. She looked at the clock on the wall. One hour until the shop opened...

She dressed quickly into a simple red dress, brushed her back into a bun, and went out the door connecting her home to her shop to straighten her books. "Ugh, it sure gets messy in here," she muttered. But she didn't mind. The more books, the better!

One particular book caught her eye. "Hmm, looks interesting." Opening it, she sat down upon her stool. When the cuckoo clock chimed nine o'clock, she switched the sign on her door to OPEN.

It was the beginning of a new day...

Gwynn brushed back her hair as she entered the book shop. The page smiled at Cassia, her hazel eyes twinkled in greeting, but her mind was on deep thoughts. Perhaps Alexander is in town today. We could go to a restaurant or the Dove, I'd like.... Gwynn snapped out of her thoughts, grinning crookedly.

"Hullo, Cassia. How are you?" the Northwatch page looked up and down at the rows of books on shelves. "I'm looking for some books by...." Gwynn racked her mind, agitated. She had forgotten the name of Katherine's mother. This would be akward. "You see," Gwynn admitted, "I beleive I have forgot the name. But perhaps you know Katherine of Blackwater? I'm looking for some books by her mother."

"Aah, Gwyn, welcome!" Caissa exclaimed. "I just got started for the day."

Hearing the page's question, she replied, "Yes, I do have one more copy left of Katherine's mother's book. She was actually in here a couple days ago to buy the other one! And just so you are informed, her mother's name is Klyn."

She hurried over to her shelf of Bla through Bro. "Here you are!" Caissa announced grandly.

"And just 'cause I'm curious, why do you want to buy this book?"

Gwynn smiled shyly at the store-keeper. "Yes, Klyn, I'll remember. Katherine told me, I just...forgot." The page blushed a little.

"Why I want to buy this book? Well, Katherine suggested it."

Caissa grinned. "Don't worry about it. I forget everything. In one ear, out the other!" Sliding the book into the page's hands, she said, "It's a good book too. I could see why Katherine would reccommend it, and not just because her mother wrote it. I think you'd like it!"

The shopkeeer hurried over to the desk and called, "That'll be eight coppers, if you please. Unless you'd care to bargain...?" Her green eyes twinkled.

Gwynn laughed, Cassia seemed very nice. "Yes, I'm VERY forgetful!"

Gwynn lifted a maroon velvet pouch from her belt, and picked out 8 coppers. She would leave the bargaining to another day. "Thanks, Cassia. I'm sure i'll enjoy it."

Gwynn glanced around the shop. She would love to browse some. It was such a nice store.
