Title: Family Resturaunt
Description: -Lunch Time-
Sayuri - March 20, 2005 05:12 PM (GMT)
This day was one of the weekends she was allowed to be home. Doing the work around the resturaunt always got her a few coins. Today, she wore a pale yellow overrobe, printed with lilac colored flowers, the leaves a slightly darkened celadon. The middle of the flowers where a pale pink, matching the obi tied around. It
Sayuri's mother knocks on the door, and calls "Hey sweetie, you almost done? Where just about to open!"
"Just a minute!" Sayuri replied, quickly putting on the disliked tabi and geta. Taking her fan from the table, she called, rushing out. "Here I am!"
"If anyone comes, guide them to a seat." Her mother ordered, fixing the obi. Sayuri nodded and stood by the door, grabbing the wooden menu which had both Yamani and Common on it.
Sayuri sighs boredly. Please let today be a good day, She thought lightly, leaning against a table set in the front.

Sayuri looked up hopefully as she thought a family was drawing near. Seeing them going to the stall next to them, she slumped. Grabbing a chair, she sat down. Taking out her fan, she lightly fanned herself. This kimono wasn't exactly the best thing to wear in a warm place, but it was nessecary. Navy eyes continued to stare at the door, as the sizzling of the oven warming up was heard.
Caissa of Whitehorn - March 23, 2005 03:52 AM (GMT)
Caissa of Whitehorn walked along the street, looking for somewhere new, something interesting, to eat lunch. She had an hour "lunch break", and she felt like trying something she had never tasted before.
A small restaurant caught her eye, and she headed over. She opened the door and saw a young woman she presumed to be the person who showed people to their seats. ((what is that person called? Hostess? oh well.))
"Excuse me, may I please have a seat?" she asked. The young woman looked to be about her age or older, and at least partly Yamani. Caissa waited for her reaction.

(( OOC: I think so ))
Sayuri, noticing someone come towards the resturaunt, regained her posture. Watching her slide open the door, she offered a friendly smile. Yey! A person! Her mind thought.
In response, she nodded her head once, in a slight bow. Standing up, she made sure she had only one menu. "Please, my lady, follow me." She stated, softly. Heading towards the side, she choose one of Sayuri's particular favourite window seat spots. Shoe's clicking lightly, she placed the menu down on the low black table. In the middle was single, pink flower, and just above was a painting, done on bamboo.
Folding her hands together, she smiled softly, as she waited for Caissa to be seated. "My name is Sayuri, and I'll be you waitress, as one would say." She stated, bowing lightly. "May I start you off with a drink of some sorts?"
Caissa of Whitehorn - March 24, 2005 04:33 AM (GMT)
"Just water, if you please," Caissa replied. "I'll take a look at the menu while you're gone. I'm pretty quick at deciding what to eat!"
She opened the menu, seeming to be absorbed in what she was reading. "Hm...nice..." she murmured under her breath.
Sayuri - March 24, 2005 11:48 PM (GMT)
Sayuri nodded her head once. "One moment, miss." She stated, as she walked towards the back, shoes clicking, to Sayuri's big annoyance. Getting into the kitchen, she slid of the shoes, leaving them in a corner, where they will hopefully go unnoticed.
Heading towards the sink, she grabbed a black cup with flowers painted in pink and trimmed with gold. The leave's where of a pretty green and trimmed with a silver. Heading to the basin of purified water, which was part of her training as a healer, she took the ladel and poured some water into the cup. With the water, was an ice cube or two.
Walking out again, she held one hand tightly around it, the other beneath it flatly. Walking to the table again, she set it down carefully. "There you go." Standing up again, a small smile was etched on her face. "May I assume you have already made a choice?"
Caissa of Whitehorn - April 8, 2005 11:50 PM (GMT)
"Thank you. And yes, I have," Caissa said. "This particular dish sounds quite tasty, although I am afraid that I cannot pronounce it. Is is yah-ka...er, ay-kuh-tuh..." She stumbled over the word as she attempted to pronounce the Yamani dish.
OOC: Sorry! I don't know of any specific Yamani dishes. Shall we make one up? lol
OOC: If you think of one, I'll modify this.
Sayuri - April 9, 2005 05:09 PM (GMT)
OOC: I don't mind... How 'bout Yakitori? Boneless Chicken, served with teriyoki suace? e.e;
http://www.kanamenj.com/dinner.html Go internet! If there's something else Caissa would like, I'll change this. ^^;
Sayuri smiled faintly, as she clasped her hands in front of her. The attempt of the Yamani dish made her eyes crinkled. Obviously, she wasn't sure if laughing would insult the lady or not. Nodding her head, she pronounced it for her.
"Yakitori." Smiling, she added. "Anything else... Or are you good?"
Caissa of Whitehorn - April 9, 2005 08:12 PM (GMT)
"No, the yakatori is good for me!" Caissa said. Noticing her hostess's eyes crinkling, she grinned. "Go ahead and laugh, I don't care! Mistakes are what help us learn." She sat back and took a sip of water.
Sayuri - April 9, 2005 08:54 PM (GMT)
"Yakitori," Sayuri repeated, smiling pleasantly as she bowed lightly. "If you need anything, I'll be waiting by the door again, after I get your order." Walking away with click-less shoes, she leaned over the counter. She quickly told her Papa the order, before heading over to her station by the door.
Sighing, she leaned up against the frame. It was quiet, except for the movements with in kitchen. Looking over to the girl, she surveyed her for the first time.
"So, how has been your day?" She questioned politely.
Caissa of Whitehorn - April 9, 2005 10:19 PM (GMT)
"My day?" Caissa asked. "Well, business has been pretty quiet today, and today is the only day that I have just one tutoring session." Just in case the girl was confused, Caissa explained, "I run a bookshop. Caissa's Books, at 19 Market Way. You're free to stop by anytime!" Cocking her head like she frequently did, she asked politely, "What about you? Do you have another job besides serving Yakitori?" she smiled as she correctly pronounced the dish.
Sayuri - April 9, 2005 11:01 PM (GMT)
Sayuri nodded her head at the beginning inquiry as a confirment. To be honest, she didn't give it much thought at what Caissa actually did for a living. Finding out, caused a small smile. "That I will."
Bringing her hands, she lightly clapped for the correct pronuciation of the dish. "Well, I'm working to be a Priestess. I also have healing magic, so I'll be a healer to add to that."
Caissa of Whitehorn - April 26, 2005 02:38 AM (GMT)
"That's wonderful!" Caissa replied. "Frankly, it never crossed my mind to be a priestess. Perhaps I would have, if I wasn't such a book worm." Feeling her pocket, she discovered she still had her copy of The History of the Immortals War. "Yup, my little birdies come everywhere with me." She gestured to her bulging pocket.
