Alexandria of Rosewood - March 14, 2005 08:33 PM (GMT)

Iskra Vorsonsra - March 14, 2005 08:52 PM (GMT)

Alexandria of Rosewood - March 14, 2005 10:25 PM (GMT)
Ok, just wondering.

Falik Al Basiri - March 14, 2005 10:27 PM (GMT)
You can change the time settings in your controls. :)

Natalia Baynes - March 15, 2005 12:12 AM (GMT)
Wow! You live in the UK? *gapes* awsome

I will admit, if there is a clock, I never look at it.

Or it could be my evil computer hiding it from me. :ph43r:

Iskra Vorsonsra - March 15, 2005 05:12 PM (GMT)
Yup I live just outside of London. :)

The time comes up on the posts, thats the only reason I know what time the board is set on, althogh I hadn't really thought about it until I read this post.

Rean of Laraes - March 15, 2005 09:53 PM (GMT)
I'm in good old Virginia. I knew it wasn't like 4 AM... I was a bit confused 'til I realised it wasn't my time.

Alexander of Rosewood - March 15, 2005 10:56 PM (GMT)
I live in Arkansas (for the moment) and was just wondering because I knew it wasn't set on central time. It was just a little bothering everytime I tryed to find out how long it had taken me to reply and what not.

More or less it was me just being silly :P .

Realm of Tortall - March 16, 2005 04:08 AM (GMT)
I'm from CA...

Falik Al Basiri - March 16, 2005 12:10 PM (GMT)
How terribly English to ask about the weather. hehe. It's actually sunny here today, typically crazy British weather as it was snowing last week! :)

mercy - March 16, 2005 04:20 PM (GMT)
really? is england nice, well you live there so it is probably a nice place to live, but i dunno what exactly i'm asking i just want to live in England someday so i'm extremely curious

Iskra Vorsonsra - March 16, 2005 05:05 PM (GMT)
Well I'm quite well travelled but I always love coming back to England. It's a very beautiful country I think and for a historian it's a great place to live. I love London but I'm quite glad I live far enough outside the city to not be in the midst of its craziness but close enough to get there quickly and enjoy it. :)

(sorry, I'm playing musical profiles again I keep forgetting whether I'm logged in as Falik or Iskra.) :D

Rean of Laraes - March 16, 2005 08:23 PM (GMT)
It's currently a bit windy, and kinda sunny here. I just walked home about a mile from school, though, and didn't pay attention at all... I was too busy talking.

To my friend. Not myself.

Iskra Vorsonsra - March 16, 2005 08:28 PM (GMT)
nothing wrong with talking to yourself, sometimes it's the only intelligent conversation I get! :D

Rean of Laraes - March 16, 2005 08:31 PM (GMT)
Hahaha, I was just talking to my sister about that yesterday. She was talking to herself when I walked into her house. It was pretty funny, actually.

Hmm, spring break starts Saturday. I hope it's sunny then.

Iskra Vorsonsra - March 16, 2005 08:34 PM (GMT)
we don't break for the holidays until end of next week, then we have two weeks off here. It's getting pretty warm here now and it has that spring feel in the air. :)

Rean of Laraes - March 16, 2005 08:44 PM (GMT)
I always wanted to go there. It seems awesome. And since I'm going to become a writer, or so I plan, I think England is very inspiring.

Falik Al Basiri - March 16, 2005 08:52 PM (GMT)
I think it is, it's why for me when I was growing up I really connected with Tamora's books because in England you kind of have the remains of the age of chivalry around you, for example in my home town is the ruins of a 10th century Abbey that was pulled down on the orders of Henry VII and near to where I live is Windsor Castle which is HUGE and is exactly what I picture in my head when I think of the palace in Corus.

Rean of Laraes - March 16, 2005 09:55 PM (GMT)
That must be so cool! I really want to find some ruins or something if I go to England, and just explore them. That probably won't happen, but I don't mind. I love castles, and abbeys and things.

Falik Al Basiri - March 16, 2005 10:38 PM (GMT)
well there are plenty of ruins and castles still around to explore. History by the bucketload. I think it's something a lot of Brits take for granted, we get used to seeing Saxon and Norman churches and medieval and tudor buildings and forget what they actually represent. I love going places and just actually physically making contact with the past.

There are some places like Canterbury Cathedral, where some of the most famous kings were crowned and where some key figures in British history came or were buried and the place just oozes atmosphere. YOu can touch the stones and know that someone touched them 1000 or more years ago. I love that :)

Livia Heart - March 17, 2005 01:04 AM (GMT)
I live in Washington State!!!

John of Elden - March 17, 2005 02:56 AM (GMT)
I live in PA too!

You know you're from PA if . . .

you go from heat to AC in one day

The word pop actually has meaning to you.

Such a geek.

Falik Al Basiri - March 17, 2005 07:25 AM (GMT)
I worked in PA one summer, I can't remember the name of the damn place now though. heh. :)

mercy - March 22, 2005 12:03 AM (GMT)
Where in Pa!!! I'm guessing west of pennsylvania... u used the word pop

okay you know your from PA if you hear the word snow and you go to the grocery store to buy bread milk and butter.

You know what a "State Store" is, and your out of state friends find it odd that you can't purchase liquor at the mini-mart. Which when go out of town your equally amazed that you can buy liquor at the nearest 7-11

Iskra Vorsonsra - March 24, 2005 03:42 PM (GMT)
Okay I remember now, I worked at a camp just outside of Tafton in the Poconos. hehe I remember the Camp owner taking us out for drive of the local area and proudly showing us this inn that was about 200 years old and saying how ancient the building was until I pointed out that there are Saxon buildings in my home town that are about 1400 years old :)

Damien of Seajen - April 1, 2005 06:02 AM (GMT)
yea they're like that here... I've never been impressed with that sort of thing unless its from Native american's. Even then I'm not that impressed its takes a lot to shock and impress me... *sigh* its my curse in life

Thomas Rede - April 1, 2005 06:46 AM (GMT)
You mean like Anasazi ruins? Funny you say that, I was just looking at those the other day. Still, I'm think I'm much more impressed by the Gothic cathedrals and such that you see in Europe..

Falik Al Basiri - April 1, 2005 08:39 AM (GMT)
They are pretty magnificent, especially considering how well crafted they are considering the technology availiable when they were built. But then as I've said my favourite period is the Medieval period so....I'm a little biased.

Priestess Kataru - April 3, 2005 03:50 AM (GMT)
Well I live in sunny South Florida! Let me tell you how sunny it is down here...LOL, but I hate to admit it rain all day today.

I just find it so cool that there are people from all over the U.S and the U.K!

Falik Al Basiri - April 3, 2005 12:01 PM (GMT)
We're in to the crazy spring weather here in the UK. Sunny one day, cold the next!

It is nice when there are a mix of people in the community, although it's a shame there aren't any other Brits on here. I'm going to try and drag a friend of mine over here. :)

Thomas Rede - April 3, 2005 05:20 PM (GMT)
I'm sorry you feel so alone, lol. Me, I like to think I've RPed quite a bit, but I've only met one other Brit...

If I made a housewife character could I actually do anything with her?

Meridan of Redrose - April 4, 2005 12:13 AM (GMT)
lol, I'm from KY...though my family's originally from CA, northern though, so we don't get the sun, surf&sand bit. Well...the surf and sand bit, but not as much sun.

ooh! you know when you're in Kentucky, when you can buy gas, bait, and rent movies all in one building. (There was one that had a taco bell too, but it closed down...*sobs*

this time is exactly 4 hours ahead of mine.
