Natalia Baynes - March 15, 2005 12:10 AM (GMT)
*starts singing while dancing...result is falling*
RPing? Before school? Bah! I'm way to lazy for that!
I enjoy every minute of sleep I can then when the alarm goes off I throw it and procede to try and sleep again untill my second alarm goes off. But you can't exactly throw your mom. :P
What kind of work do you do Falik?
Iskra Vorsonsra - March 15, 2005 05:10 PM (GMT)
Please call me Ruth I'm not quite ready for using my male alter ego's name yet LOL
I'm a secondary school teacher, I teach History here in the UK to 11-18 year olds.
Natalia Baynes - March 15, 2005 09:51 PM (GMT)
Livia Heart - March 15, 2005 11:59 PM (GMT)
I'm wonderful. You speak Latin?! Yippee! Puella!
Miniya - March 16, 2005 12:27 AM (GMT)
Sounds interesting Ruth!
w00t! Well, partial Latin. I'm only on my second year...
Heh heh, no clue if this is right, but: Nos posse dicere secreto
Falik Al Basiri - March 16, 2005 12:12 PM (GMT)
I love it, I'm a complete History geek. It's a pretty demanding job but for me it beats any other kind of work hands down. I teach a huge range of history though from Ancient China to the Vietnam war so it can be a bit mind bending at times. :)
Natalia Baynes - March 17, 2005 10:48 PM (GMT)
I love history but this year I have to take Geography which I hate.
I know there out there! Why do I have to know all about them?
*rants on for hours*
I do however, LOVE to debate....... :P
Miniya - March 17, 2005 10:52 PM (GMT)
I like the Ancient to Enlightment History better then this years US History e.e;
Geography is okay. Its good to know borders and stuff. And... Thats it.
Debating is fun! ^^
Falik Al Basiri - March 18, 2005 11:09 PM (GMT)
You're people after my own hear. :) I love history but I do like Geography too, I find natural disaters and stuff about global politics and trade quite interesting.
I also help run my schools debating team. I want to get them good enough to enter competitions. Personally i love a good debate.
Oh and my favourite history is Medieval and some modern history especially the 1960's there was so much going on then . My specialism is Anglo-Saxon England and Medieval Europe though, and the Crusades, it's what I studied at University
(or college as you guys call it - lets hope we don't have any cultural confusions, I'll have to tell you some of the worst words that don't cross the Atlantic well some time! :) )
mercy - March 22, 2005 12:07 AM (GMT)
University works fine too. I love history big fan of english irish history, jsut spent a semester studying france history. But i am in love with Greek/Roman/egyptian history. Actually I more a mythology bluff i love reading their mythology tearing it down and comparing with other cultures.... i've been doing it since I was 11 so ... this means I have no life! YEA FOR ME!!
Iskra Vorsonsra - March 24, 2005 03:45 PM (GMT)
hey...I'm a geek for a living, don't knock it.
I teach quite a bit of Roman, Ancient Chinese and Aztec history. The mythologies make interesting comparisions especially flood myths and suchlike that you can compare to the world religions. :)
I've been to Greece on holiday, awesome place.
Rean of Laraes - March 24, 2005 05:28 PM (GMT)
Europe is awesome. I wish I could go there.
Natalia Baynes - March 24, 2005 10:58 PM (GMT)
The fathest I've ever been from home is Alaska. It was awsome. I saw a moose. AND A BEAR. Well..I couldn't really see it exactly...but you could definalty make out bearish figures. ... :ph43r:
But that is far for me since I'm from the East COast!! YAY FOR SOUTH CAROLINA!!!
Rean of Laraes - March 24, 2005 11:34 PM (GMT)
I'm an East Coastian, too. I've been to all the states down to Florida, and then up to Pennsylvania, or Delaware, whichever is higher. ^_^
Princess Miya - March 25, 2005 12:10 AM (GMT)
I feel all accomplished now. I went to Rome with my really good guy friend who's Italian and moved to America for whatever reason.
It was beautiful, gorgeous weather and everything. I got to talk to Gypsy's in Romanian. It was so awesome.
mercy - March 31, 2005 05:26 AM (GMT)
let me jsut point out I'm jealous completely, if you have been to Europe lived or live in Europe I repeat I AM JEALOUS OF YOU!
p.s. despise Pennsylvania
John of Elden - March 31, 2005 11:32 PM (GMT)
I love Pennsyvania. It's teh only place that you can go from to heat to AC in one day, get chipped ham, the words 'pop' and 'hoagie' have meaning, and you can hear the chicken dance no matter what part you're at.
I told my science teacher that I used to live in Erie and he simply said, God bless you.
I miss Karwatski.

Kentucky comes pretty close to that, lol...yay! I can finally say lol on this site...I wasn't sure I could, but I've seen other people use it, so I feel like I can now...ok, I'll shut up. And welcome, Miniya, though I actually think I joined after you did.

I love geography! I'm good at it too, lol, physics is the bane of my existance though.
Hayden LaRue - April 1, 2005 12:31 AM (GMT)
Physics is my favorite science field. I like Bio as long as it's genetics and Evolution. And chem's all right.
Meridan of Redrose - April 1, 2005 12:34 AM (GMT)
My dad's a physics professor...that might be why I hate it. I like biology well enough, though we terrorize our poor teacher. Chemistry's all right as long as you're mixing up chemicals and things.
Ashley Calhoun - April 1, 2005 01:23 AM (GMT)
My dad's in the Navy, I've lived in a bunch of places.
My least favorite place was Japan.
Damien of Seajen - April 1, 2005 05:38 AM (GMT)
Some of my boys are over in japan... and australia,... and north carolina and mississippi, and iraq and korea... i think... i'd have to say that during highschool anything in the science field that wasn't genetics was a total bore for me. I was more of an arts and crafts musical person with a flare of writing...
john of Elden give me an idea of where in PA are you still in Erie or somewhere else... i am SOO curious right now....
I just read what I wrote and I started off with my boys, just for people who don't know I'm female and most my friends are guys, in fact I can count on one hand how many female friends I have and i can't count how many guy friends I have.... odd
Falik Al Basiri - April 1, 2005 08:37 AM (GMT)
I love biology. I did Advanced Level Biology, lots of genetics, biochemistry and that sort of thing.
The school system here in the UK means school is mandatory until 16 and then after that you can do various qualifications including Advanced Levels (A Levels) in 3 or 4 subjects.
Meridan of Redrose - April 3, 2005 03:39 PM (GMT)
oh gosh, more biology people, lol, I'm really not that much of a science person. I'm more art&music oriented and i LOVE language arts. Well...not the grammar bits so much, but the writing and reading rocks! And math and geography are good, geography more than math though. I'm really bummed right now though, since on friday I didn't even make the final of a geography competition I took 6th in last year. :(
Iskra Vorsonsra - April 4, 2005 03:52 PM (GMT)
I'm more an arts person too really. Biology was the only science I was ever good at.
Since I graduated from college I've been lucky enough to do some professional theatre work. I love teaching but I love the theatre too. Im quite lucky that through various projects I've made some connections in theatre, film and tv....although personally I wouldn't want their jobs :)
