Title: Seeking absolution
Iskra Vorsonsra - March 12, 2005 05:50 PM (GMT)
Iskra walked through the temple district. It had been a long time since she had prayed. She was seldom troubled by guilt for her work, but occasionally she needed to make some peace with her gods for what she did. Some crimes weighed more heavily on her than others.
She was dressed plainly in a simple pair of of brown breeches and a emerald green cotton shirt. She carried a few less weapons than usual but was still well armed, it didn't do to lower defences.
For now though, she hung back from entering the temple of the Black God. It was inordinately busy with people saying prayers for their dead.
She idled on the street waiting for the temple to empty more as people went home for the evening.

Livia began to walk down the street. She was going to go to the Black God and pray to him. Maybe he would be helpful in her search...she was so caught up in her thoughts she came close to running into somebody. "Ugh, so sorry..." she muttered. The victim of her clumsiness turned. "Oh, Iskra!" Livia yelped. "Hello! I'm sorry I didn't see you there!"

When she had felt the bump in to the back of her, Iskra had instantly flicked out one of her wrist knives. Spinning to face the person she saw it was only Livia, the girl she had met in th Dancing Dove.
"Well met youngling," she said. "You should be more careful though, you nearly ended up with an extra hole to breath out of then!"
"Thank you for your advice about Lasser," she added smiling slightly, "worked a treat."

Livia attempted a laugh. "I only need one, thank you very much! Sorry for surprising you. And, you're welcome."
She looked at the Black God's temple and back at Iskra. "Are you waiting for somebody here, or are you going to go in when there are less people? That's always a good idea. There's less sobbing, so you don't feel as bad. If you're waiting for someone, I'll just leave you to your own devices..." her voice trailed off and she stared off into space.

Iskra's mouth twitched in to a small smile. This girl was prone to outbursts of trails of thought.
"Im going to pay my respects. My father died 13 years ago today."
She frowned, feeling a stirring of emotion she hadn't felt in a long time. Perhaps it was knowing this girl was looking for her father, who like as not was dead too.
"besides, I could use the Black God's favour, in my line of work." She gazed up at the temple once more.
