Title: Fighting
Description: ..
Rean of Laraes - March 11, 2005 10:20 PM (GMT)
Rean of Laraes walked along the busy marketplace. She was on her way to a shop she knew of. Moving aside as some horses rode through, she thought again of what she needed. Going over the list in her mind, she didn't notice she was being jostled all the way out of the crowd. Standing to the side, she let out a sigh. A cough came from the alley behind her. Turning warily, she peered into the darkness. "Hello?" She asked, instantly thinking sarcastically, 'Great plan. Say hello to the lurky thing.'
A raspy voice came from the alley way, "Come closer. I-" The speech was interrupted by short, loud coughs. "I'm sick. I need help." The person explained. The man, dirtied and clothed with rags came forward a bit, standing still in the darkness. Rean felt pity for the person, but she was still wary. Was she imagining the shadows deeper in the alleyway? She hesistated. Should she help?
OOC: Feel free to join in. Their going to try to kidnap her. :D
Natalia Baynes - March 12, 2005 02:06 PM (GMT)
Natalia was fighting with Trickster. Not unusual. -I don't like being here.- he would say impatiently. He never liked it when she rode him in cowded places. Using mind to mind speech as so people wouldn't think her crazy she retorted -Well deal with it because we aren't leaving untill we find that shop.- -Girls.- the horse snorted. -Always worrying about 'shops' or 'clothes'- And on it went. Finally she had said she would stop to get him peppermints.
Waiting patiently for a young boy and his grandmother to cross her path, she pulled back on her reins to keep her dancing Trickster in his place. Sighing in frustration at her fickle horse she noticied Rean. The girl had been nice the couple times she had talked to her. She turned Trickster's path over to the Squire.
Was that a beggar that Rean was talking to? Didn't she know that was an old trick. She darted her hazle eyes to check for other people. Backups. Was there someone on that roof? Her heart skipped a beat and she urged Trickster forward. "Hey Rean! What brings you to town?" her voice was fast and shaky. She mentally check the hidden daggers she carried. One on her arm, one on her left leg, one on her belt..and then her secret weapon, Trickster.
Rean of Laraes - March 12, 2005 04:55 PM (GMT)
Rean kept one of her eyes on the beggar, and replied cheerily to Natalia, "Hey! I'm just getting some more bruise balm." She grinned and winked, "I seem to get a lot of bruises, somehow." She pretended not to know how exactly she got them. She turned to looked at Natalia, backing a couple steps away from the beggar. She knew that this could be a trap. She thought she saw shadows in the back of the alleyway. Rean knew she could take care of herself, if things got ugly, and she was certain Natalia could do the same. Rean wished Kenshir was here. Her gelding was a good fighter. Rean knew her concealed knives and throwing stars were concealed, and within easy reach, so she didn't check. She wondered if Natalia was armed. Knowing the girl, probably. She wasn't stupid in any way. Rean whispered to Natalia, "He says he's sick. I know it might be a trap, but if it isn't I should help." She explained.
The beggar almost rubbed his hands together, 'Two girls... the master would be pleased. He only asked for the squire, but the other is quite pretty, too.' The beggar resisted the urge to laugh out loud.
Rean wished she had more backup. She knew Natalia was good, probably as good or better than herself. That horse of Natalia's, Trickster, was a handful, too. But both girls would be safer if they had company. Damien, or Falik would be good in a fight. She sighed, and walked up to the beggar. "What's wrong with you?" She asked cooly.
Movement from the shadows alerted Rean. She almost took a step back, but thought better of it. That would take the fight into the marketplace, and people might get hurt there. She drew out two of her concealed knives, dropping instinctively into the fighting stance. From what she could tell, there were about eight of them.
Natalia Baynes - March 13, 2005 06:49 PM (GMT)
"Too bad you didn't get that bruise balm yet." Natalia said with a grin. "We're gonna need it!" she let the dagger on her arm slip into her grasp and her belt knife appear in her other hand. She swung easily off her stallion and firmly told him to stay put untill he was needed. Grumbling Trickster did as he was told.
With a grim face her hazle eyes watched as the man on the roof dropped down and walked smoothly over near her right. With Rean on her left and all their oppenets in front of them walking down the alley, things didn't look to good. They would be forced to fight in the alley so no one in the Market got injured in this fight. What could they want? she wondered. Or are they just theives bored and out looking for some pretty girls to toy with. Almost laughing she thought They certainly got more then they bargained for. I won't go down without a fight!
"You two don't honestly think you can fight all of us away," said the man from the roof with a sly grin, "Do you? It would be much better for you both if you didnt' bother." his voice was almost business-like with a drop of honey.
Smilly back just as slyly Natalia retorted "Oh but I just love a good fight!" Quickly with a steady eye she threw her belt knife at the man's throat.
mercy - March 13, 2005 10:41 PM (GMT)
Did I just hear I just love a good fight, Mercy thought to herself as she rounded into an alley way, she heard a sound like smothing sharp being thrown a gurgling sound and a fall. "What the... " she started to say as she jumped back, Rean and some other girl were in fighting stance with a few theives and low lives around.
Without a thought she grabbed her two three prong daggers, and took a few steps toward Rean, a smile on her face as she watched the men in the alley way, "Rean may I ask what is going on?"
Natalia Baynes - March 14, 2005 12:38 AM (GMT)
Smiling at the other girl Natalia answered her instead of Rean, "We're being attacked. Natalia Baynes, nice to meet you!" she grinned and trotted over to the man that now had her belt knife burried in his throat. She jerked it out and wipped it on the man's shirt.
The first time she had killed a man, she had been horrified. He had attacked her. She had always carried a knife with her - just incase- and then she was glad she did. When he tackled her to the ground she had stabbed him in the heart. He died and his blood had spilled all over her. She had sat there, out in the western pasture for hours, crying and rocking back and forth. Then she realized what could of happened, and she was mad. So mad, that she decided some people were evil at heart. Since then, she had a sort of cold air about her when she was forced to kill. It was kill, or be killed.
Trickster, sensing her distress and memory comforted her. He walked forward and nuzzled her shoulder. -It's all right Natty.- she smiled at the name he had once called her. She patted his nose and returned to stand by Rean and her friend.
Rean of Laraes - March 14, 2005 01:33 AM (GMT)
Rean grinned in a dashing way. "Mercy. Lovely to see you." She winked, and turned to face one of the men with her two knives. He was armed similarly. Rean had wanted to go see Mercy today also. She had saved up some money, and she needed some better weapons. The man rushed her, and she grabbed his wrist, stabbing him in the heart with her free hand.
"You guys aren't up to scratch, it seems." She said, her eyes holding his as the life slipped out of his body. Another three men came out of the surrounding alleyway. Taking away the two she and NAtalia had killed, there were nine. Rean shrugged. "Fine with me. Your death."
Another man grabbed her from behind. She twisted around, and they grappled for a few moments. He managed to slice her in the calf. Not much damage, and she could still walk, but it definitly hurt. Rean's eyes went cold as she dispatched him. She turned to face the other 8 men, her face cold as steel.
OOC: We rock. *nods*
mercy - March 14, 2005 02:37 AM (GMT)
Looked at one of the men who came towards her, "What am I getting myself into?" she asked no one in particular. The man lunged at her only getting halfway before she kicked him in his ribs, as he staggared back she did a half turn before she cut his throat. Shrugging she walked up to another guy who planned on jumping on Natalie as her back was turned. She stabbed him in the back twisting her dagger in a quarter circle. Just to be sure she cut his throat too.
"Next," she said as she gave her daggers a twirl, the blood on them glistening.
Rean of Laraes - March 14, 2005 02:56 AM (GMT)
"Only six of you left." Rean snarled coldly. "Why don't you just tell us what you're trying to pull?" She asked, her blood flowing freely from her calf wound. She slammed a man up against the wall of the alleyway, and asked, "Were you just wandering around? Or what?" She put one of her knives to his stomach.
He stared at the three women, wide eyed. They hadn't expected more than the girl-squire, but here two other women, fighting women, come out of nowhere. He swallowed, and stammered, "S-Someone send in a request for y-your k-kidnapping." He was scared out of his mind of these three women. They were all steel and cold eyes.
Rean frowned. Why would someone want to kidnap her? She sliced the man's throat, ending it quickly. "Five." She announced, turning slowly to another one.
Natalia Baynes - March 15, 2005 12:26 AM (GMT)
Natalia grinned and thanked the girl, Mercy, Rean had called her. "Saved my life! I should properly meet you after this...ordeal." Her face turned grim and set as she saw a man come up behind her in a window across the street. She kicked out with her back leg and connected with him, but not before he sliced her shoulder.
Gritting her teeth she whirled around to face him. Eyes flashing she sized him up. He was bigger than the roof-man and definatly more skilled. He had crept up with no sound. "You thought you could kidnap my friend? Pshhh. Think better next time." she said coldly.
Wincing as she moved her arm she saw her white shirt was slowly filling with blood on her right shoulder. Natalia always hated when a battle reached this point. It seemed her right arm always got injured but it was her main arm. She switched the dagger to her left arm. Her weaker arm. Blinking the sweat out of her eyes she jumped to the side as the man lundged in to slice at her side. While she jumped aside she kicked out with her leg behind his knee. He knew this trick though and caught her foot pulling hard.
She hit the ground with a dull thud and glowered at the man. His companions started laughing and when one threw his head back he was laughing so far Natalia had the last laugh. Her dagger was buried in throat before he could turn to look back down. Slipping her other dagger from her pant leg she swung around, still on the ground and knocked the man's legs out from under him.
Natalia, standing up swiftly nodded to Trickster. He trotted up and striked out with his front, shoed hoof. A long gash opened on the man's forhead. "I would tell you to inform your master to no longer mess with us, but I'm sorry to predict you won't live that long." swooping down she buired the dagger in his heart. Trickster backed up, out of the way.
Dark wavy blonde hair pulled back, tan face set coldly, eyes flashing with rage, slim body tense and ready, blood flowing from her shoulder, she turned to face the last five.
OOC: I think its five....
mercy - March 15, 2005 12:46 AM (GMT)
Mercy looked around, was it four or five left, she couldn't really tell, thieves liked shadow games. There was one man in the center, his legs placed wide apart she grimaced as he grinned at her. His teeth looked aweful. Mercy gave a shiver before she ran and slip feet first between his legs shoving her daggers in his thighs before she let go of them. Sliding the rest of the way through she stood up only to hear the guy with the bad teeth fall to the ground. She had aimed for a main artery in the leg, Mercy shrugged as she grabbed the two long daggers in her boots.
"How many's left now?" she yelled back to Natalie and Rean.
Natalia Baynes - March 15, 2005 01:24 AM (GMT)
"Four" she answered her voice still stealy cold. Normally there would be more humour but there was none there now.
She spotted a younger man over in the corner. He seemed to be younger than the others and that probably meant less expirenced. He had bright piercing blue eyes that watched her as she walked slowly towads him. Her dagger she had thrust back in her belt sheath. She walked towards him swaying slightly. She turned her eyes to the ground and brought them back up, looking at him from under full lashes. When she reached him she ran a finger down his arm. "I do hate all this fighting." looking at one of the dead men she faked a grimace.
Natalia felt his arm snake around her waste. She shuddered inwardly. This was a tactic she had used before with younger theives. His arm was strong and she worried for a moment. Pouting slightly she said "I wish I didn't have to fight. The squire, she makes me." He nodded understanding and drew her closer.
"I wish I didn't have to fight such a pretty thing as you." he drawled. That was when Natalia slipped the dagger from her belt and pointed it at his throat. She was shocked to find the man's dagger at her throat also. Her eyes barely went wide as she controlled her shock. His ice blue eyes were dancing now. He knew she was shocked. "Don't play me as a fool again." he whispered and stepped into the shadows, making his way down some un-known alley.
Rean of Laraes - March 16, 2005 09:18 PM (GMT)
Rean announced, "Three, seven, ten, I'm not sure." As she dispatched another. A theif flew at her, grabbing her arm. He slammed her hand against the wall, knocking the knife away from her. She gritted her teeth, stifling a yell of pain. Her lashed out at him with her other knife, which he swiftly knocked away. She stood there, immobile against the wall, and she actually felt a bit scared. Natalia was hurt, and Mercy was fighting. Rean's eyes widened, and then she spat on the mans shoe. "Pfft."
Kenshir raced through the streets. He felt the wild mage's anger, and he knew she was fighting. Trickster was there, and he knew Rean was in the city. He had to get to them. His dark mane and tail flapped inthe wind as he thundered down the street.
Natalia Baynes - March 16, 2005 10:13 PM (GMT)
Whirling around, still a little shocked, she saw Rean pinned against the wall. This infuriated her and she lost controll of her magic. Natalia had been holding Trickster back, not letting him fight. If he died, her family die. So she had held him back. Now it flowed out of her, racing wildly and it found Kenshir. Her fury and anger would draw all the horses in Corus if she didnt' stop it.
As quick as she could she called it back, gathering it up. But not before she heard Kenshir's flying hooves and his worry. Looking over she saw a beautiful, big, chestnut mare. The mare had big intelligent brown eyes. Seeing she was not needed yet, the mare cantered away. Shaking her head to clear it Natalia turned back to the battle.
Eyes flashing she saw a man run at her. She didn't even hold a dagger in her hand! Despertly she though until a snort of pure rage filled the air around them and the big black stallion she loved so much, the stallion called Kyprioth's own horse, lunged in front of his lady. The dagger the theif man held sunk into her beautiful boy's chest, and that was when she exploded.
Rage filling her like none other, she started to walk towards the man whose blood would be spilled when she fell. Writhing in pain she wailed. Trickster's pain, filled her. Ginding her teeth she staggered to her feet. Eyes flashing she dove clumsliy at the man. Somehow, she tackled him to the ground, and before plunging her dagger into his heart she told him fiercly "You do not mess with my horse." and the man was dead.
Natalia Baynes - March 20, 2005 09:34 PM (GMT)
Shaking Natalia crawled towards her fallen horse. Blood spilled from the wound. The man hadn't been very clean. The cut was deep where the dagger had sunk in, but the man had jerked his dagger away, cutting across the black horse. Tears spilled over and fell down her face. Blinking them away she put a hand on his shoulder. He winced.
"Oh Trickster..." Biting her lip the battle was forgotten. She reached inside her self. Magic ready to go from her rage, she poured it into the horse. Knitting together torn musle and skin. She put her strength into it. Making it strong. Brow furrowed in concentration, she didn't see the man come up behind her.
He had strong arms wraped around her and dagger at her neck before she could even lift her hands, from the one thing she had let take her heart.
Miniya - March 20, 2005 11:22 PM (GMT)
Miniya, dressed in trainee uniform, had been wondering the streets. On her persona, she carried the family dagger, and a sword the trainee's were given the other night. Amber eyes caught sight of the chestnut mare running through the streets. One thing's for sure, thought Miniya, That doesn't happen everyday.
Coming to a slight jog, she followed the horse. As she got closer to the fighting, she heard Natalia scream. Blinking, she rounded the corner, and immediatley frowned, and walked back behind the corner. Unsheathing the dagger, she peered over, observing for a moment.
Completely out of the random, she whiped around the corner, and charged at the theif who had his knife up. Getting close she brought the dagger down on his back. Miniya then kicked him to the side, so he wouldn't fall on her.
Turning around, she jumped to the side, letting her knife hand drag by. This, caused the knife to be lodged in the abdomen area. Pulling it out, she glanced at him. He wasn't dead, though, just knocked out for the time being. Placing the dagger away, she unsheathed her sword, and took a stance infront of Natalia.
Rean of Laraes - March 21, 2005 02:18 PM (GMT)
Rean yelled furiously, the man's arm was pressed against her neck. She was running out of air. This wasn't good. Her vision was blurred, but she thought she saw Natalia crouching over something. Trickster? Was Trickster hurt? Rean thought, her thoughts fading in and out. She gasped, but it was no use. Someone helped Natalia. Good. Rean had time to think.
She pushed ineffectively at the man holding her against the wall. He was about to grab for her skirts, when Kenshir bit him. In the neck. Kenshir had effectively killed the man by breaking his neck. Rean fell to the ground over the man, rolling away. She gasped for air. Mithros, I love my horse.' Kenshir reared in the alleyway, whinnying. His dark coat gleamed, and he stood over his mistress. He wanted to check on hsi friend, but Rean seemed to need him more. Natalia was a wild mage, she could take care of Trickster.
Natalia Baynes - March 22, 2005 12:49 AM (GMT)
Natalia tried to thank the Rider who had saved her but she couldn't get words out. She had reached such a state of her magic, she had to finish before she was trapped in it. If the man had known better he wouldn't have grabbed a mage in the middle of healing. It had different effects but to Natalia, it shoved her into an odd place.
Deep inside her magic she was floating. It wanted her stay. To stay there, connected so deeply to her magic. All the horses would come to her. She could care for them, ride them. It would be wonderful. And part of her wanted to stay. The other more realistic part of her heard her first real human friend scream. Heard the cry of Kenshir as he saved his mistress. Heard, heard her horse call out to her. Bringing her back to where she should be.
Falling backwards away from the now healed horse and found herself face to face with yet another theif. "What do you people sprout out of the ground or somehthing?" she shouted. Swinging herself around she knocked him from his feet and he thudded to the ground, landing straight on her arm. She grunted when she heard the crack and despertly wished that she had a clearer head to think before she had done that.
Sweat falling of the girls face, she rolled over to thrust her dagger into the mans side. Sloppy aim and a slow death. She hung her head, light brown hair cascading down to hide her face, she craddled her arm as Trickster nuzzled her shoulder.
Miniya - March 22, 2005 01:23 AM (GMT)
Miniya glanced at the other girl, and didn't show any response to the horse biting his neck. Inwardly, though, she cringed. Never ever be on the bad side of a horse. "Hi! You! All right there?" She called to Rean, though her amber eyes were trailing around at the theives.
Miniya glared as a theif approached her from the side. Stamping a foot down, she kept her sword parrallel foward. The theif blocked and lunged foward, causing Miniya to step back, blocking with a side block. With her opposite hand, she grabbed her sheath knife and lunged in close. Now it was his turn to pull out a duel blade. Pushing her back, she fell to the ground and rolled as he lunged. When he became on the ground, she rolled over, knife lodging into his back.
Scrambling up onto her feet, she perked her ears at the others cry. Turning, Mini noticed the girl with the horse on the ground again, clutching her arm. Poor girl She thought as she sheathed her knife and ran over to stand gaurd of her back. In response to her question, she whispered. "They be poppin' out of the ground like daises ready for a cuttin'."
[OOC: How many left?]
mercy - March 22, 2005 02:29 AM (GMT)
(ooc: sooo sorry haven't been commenting as much will make up for it in this)
Mercy looked around to see another theif come at her from the shadows she held up her daggers as she looked at him, glancing over her shoulders briefly to see if she was gonna get jumped from behind. With no one back there she looked at the shadow theif.
The thief lunged at her trying to stab her with his daggers, she dodged then tried to get him with her own daggers only to have him dodge her attacks. This went on for sometime each getting their own share of cuts before she kicked his daggers out of his hands. The theif then ran at her full speed throwing her up onto the stone wall behind her. He grabbed her by the throat and started to pound her head against the wall. Mercy shoved both her daggers into the man as close to his heart as she could then left them there as she tried to pry is fingers off her neck. She watched as the life slowly left his eyes.
When the theif fell over she watched him before she too slid to the ground putting a hand to the back of her head she could feel blood. Mercy grimaced as she sat on the ground, swearing in three different languages under her breath. She looked around to see how the other girls were doing and to see if she saw anymore theives, they looked to be gone.
Natalia Baynes - March 22, 2005 08:57 PM (GMT)
OOC: We should probably be done with all the theives by now. We started with eight, switched to nine, then they just kept coming! lol
IC: Not bothering to look around and see if there were other theives, Natalia lurched to her feet. The worl swimming before her she knew she could no longer fight. She had done her part.
Trickster walked over to the right side of his lady and nickered softly. Groaning from teh pain it caused her arm, she swung into the horses saddle. Clutching at the saddle horn she tried to glimpse around. There was Mercy, and Rean, Kenshir too and the girl who saved her but she didn't know.
And there in the shadows, were two eyes. The color of pure blue, they watched her. Trying to convince her mouth to open, he dissapeared. The theif man agian. Skaing her head, Natalia tried to clear her swimming vision. The pain in her arm convinced her it was broken.
Miniya - March 22, 2005 09:08 PM (GMT)
OOC: xD
IC:
Miniya, even though there seemed to be no more, stood still and in a stance. Her eyes still glanced wearily around. Staying in this simple stance made her back burn. She had become to used to falling on softer ground and too lightly.
Now that she paused, it seemed as if the sun immediatly soaked itself into her, causing small sweat trickles. Turning her head slightly, she glanced behind her to see Natalia on her saddle. Turning her head again, her amber eyes searched the area.
Natalia Baynes - March 23, 2005 12:10 AM (GMT)
Trickster heard his lady's request and walked very slowly and steadily over towards Rean. When he had stopped and was standing very still Natalia swallowed. Her arm hurt really bad. Trying despertly to clear away the pain, she focused on Rean. 'We..should go...healer...before...more come." she stopped panting. Trickster's black coat turned even darker with sweat. He was worring about his lady. She had no good sense about when to stop.
Waiting for a moment she finally spoke with a little more strength. "I'll ride Kenshir since he has no bridle or saddle. He'll...listen. You can ride Trickster..." her voice falled her and she slipped very un gracefully off her horse's back. Leaning against him she managed a very weak smile towards Rean. "I've been worse." she whispered hoarsly.
Natalia Baynes - March 28, 2005 01:54 AM (GMT)
Trickster snorted and stepped backwards at his lady's words. -No!!- he screamed at her in mind speech. Natalia winced. "Don't yell!" she told the horse crossly. -No I won't let her ride me! Only you have ever ridden me! The others tried but no! Only you have ever ridden me.- the horse said just as crossly. His eyes flashed fear and distrust.
He remember the day the little girl had climbed on his tall back. She had spoken soft, her hands light. The light had been in her. Inside, she was just like him. She was horse on the inside. She had no fear or hate. She had sat in the large saddle and held the reins in her small hands. When Trickster had walked off as steadily as he knew how she had giggled and told Trickster what a good boy he was. Good. He had never heard that word before Natalia. Before Natty came to him. She hadn't clucked or kicked. He had known she wanted to go faster. So he did and she laughed again. Trickster loved to make her happy. But another rider? No.
-Please?- the wildmage asked her only friend. No. The disapointment filled her eyes. she came over and undid his saddle. It was difficult with only one arm but she did it. Grunting she laid it on teh ground indicating to Rean she could put it on Kenshir. Slipping off his bridle she laid it ontop of the saddle. -Natty..- -No.-
Natalia shut him out. Swinging onto his tall back with practiced ease she shut him out of her mind.
Miniya - March 28, 2005 02:09 AM (GMT)
Miniya sighed, as she looked over her shoulder. She watched the nobles for a moment, a cocked eyebrow raised to her hairline. Was the noble... Talking to her horse? That... was strange.
Looking around once more, she decided to leave. No more busing herself with these high statused girls. Heading towards the corner she had appeared, she rounded it. Taking her shirt, she wrapped it around her blade, taking off the blood. How was she going to figure out how to get back inside without them noticing. Oh well.. She'll just tell the truth when she gets there.
Rean of Laraes - March 29, 2005 11:34 PM (GMT)
Rean sighed quietly, worried for her friend. She nodded. "You get home, Natalia, I'll get Mercy." She patted Kenshir's neck, and moved over to the other girl. She called to the Rider, "You alright?" Then she turned to Mercy, still waiting for Miniya's answer. "Mercy? You need a healer." She frowned. The girl's head was bleeding.
Jenshir looked at Trickster, -Get your lady home. You may want to take your bridal. I doubt I'll dump my lady in the street, I tend to like her too much.- He sighed, and saw Rean beckoning him over to Mercy. -On second thought...- He scooped up the bridal and saddle, and nickering at Natalia once, he moved over to his mistress. He plopped the bridal and and it's saddle onto the ground next to Mercy.
Rean smiled at him. "Mercy, you can ride Kenshir to a healer. I'll come with you, he won't go fast." She saddled him up swiftly.
Miniya - March 30, 2005 02:28 AM (GMT)
Hearing a voice again, she peered around the corner, littered with theif's dead bodies. Except for one. Narrowing her eyes, she stepped silently towards him, crunched over lightly. Standing up fully now, her sword still unsheathed, she laid a foot on his back roughly. This caused quite a gasp from the man. "I'd stay still, if I were ye." She whispered hoarsely.
Still not a clue that Rean had spoken to her, she put her blade up against his ear, trailing along his neck. A stance she had seen before. Looking up once more for a quick glance, she called faintly.
"My ladies... This one appears alive still." She really didn't like this conversation, but she felt it was needed.
mercy - March 30, 2005 07:40 PM (GMT)
Mercy glanced up at Rean, "I can walk," she said as she stood up, she started to weave where she stood, "well at least I thought I could," Glancing about she smiled, "well thats that with them right? No more coming out of the woodwork? Oh, you can just drop me off at home, my cousin is a healer." With a nod she leaned on the big warhorse she mumbled, "I hope you don't mind me, I know horses don't like blood. But if your going to blame anyone blame the theives."
Rean of Laraes - March 30, 2005 10:09 PM (GMT)
Kenshir was an accepting horse. He nickered, and nudged her lightly. He didn't mind. Swishing his tail, he looked up at Miniya's voice. He didn't turn, though he wanted to go step on that man's head.
Rean nodded. "Can you direct Kenshir there? He's good at directions." She put the bridal and saddle on him. She knew he wouldn't drop Mercy. She patted his head, and was gonig to give Mercy a boost up when she turned to Miniya. "I'll be right over!" Her leg burned, but she was the least hurt, besides the Rider. She cupped her hands so that Mercy could get up into Kenshir's tall saddle easily. Kenshir moved slightly closer to Mercy, so she could stabilize herself.
Miniya - March 30, 2005 11:19 PM (GMT)
In response to Squire Rean's request, she bowed the best she could. Straightening up again, she put a bit of pressure on his back. Keeping the sword in its place, she watched them from afar.
The man below her whispered hoarsely to Miniya. "Let me strike a bargain. You let me go, and I'll kill the noble wenches for you, commoner."
"Not a chance." She replied, quietly, bringing the blade closer to his skin. "And not another word." Her voice was stern and strict, for a quiet commoner.
mercy - March 31, 2005 02:44 AM (GMT)
Mercy glared at the man that was next to Miniya, she then smiled at the Kenshir, patting the horse she climb up looking at Rean she said, "I live on Maple street past the fountain, only one with a cat on the door. Like I said, my cousin is a healer, if you don't come by should I bring Kenshir up to you tomorrow?" Mercy said as she closed her eyes, she was so dizzy.
Rean of Laraes - April 5, 2005 08:24 PM (GMT)
Rean nodded. "Sure! That would be fine." She patted Kenshir's neck, and said, "You're a good boy. You protect her, and get her to her house." She smiled at Mercy, then stepped back. Kenshir clopped away, going slowly and steadily, trying his best not to jounce the woman on his back.
Rean walked over to Miniya, and bent down. She grabbed his shoulder, adn flipped him over, quickly pressing her kninfe to his throat, and stepping on his stomach, foot ready to slam into his jewels if he made any sudden movements. "You know who I am." She hated using her title to give her leverage. It wasn't fair. She glared at him. "Why did you attack me?" She asked, angry. Her leg hurt. She was filled with admiration for Natalia, Mercy, and Miniya, though. She hadn't known they could all fight like that. She would thank Miniya in a moment.
Miniya - April 5, 2005 10:02 PM (GMT)
Watched silently, her face the expression of apathy. She had moved her foot off him as Rean flipped him over. She picked up her saber too. Noticing that Rean already had a knife to his neck, she kept her sword at ease.
She really shouldn't stay, but she did. Keeping calm, she watched the man flinch, his breathing rather rasp as Rean let the foot stay on his stomache.
Rean of Laraes - April 5, 2005 10:18 PM (GMT)
The man was sweating. These women warriors were ruthless! "I-I-We were paid to kidnap you an-and hold you f-for ransom." He shivered slightly. The alley stones under him were warm with his body heat. He was bloodied and sweaty. "I-If you let me go, I won't come back, I swear!" He put a pleading innocent look on his face.
Rean growled, "Yeah, sure." She turned to Miniya, holding him still. "What d'you think?" This guy was a criminal. She had seen the way he leered at Natalia when her back was turned. She raised her eyebrows. She had no problem killing him, but she didn't like to do it in cold blood. She waited for the girl's response.
Miniya - April 5, 2005 11:18 PM (GMT)
Screwed her face up slowly as he tried to beg for mercy. Noticing Rean looking at her, she kept eye contact for a short while, confused as to why she would want her own opinion. Turning down at the man, she spoke quietly.
"I think... my lady, that you have a right to know as why you are wanting to be kidnapped. If it must be, let his majesty decide the verdict. Criminal or not, he is still a man of Tortall. His fate shouldn't be in our hands."
Rean of Laraes - April 5, 2005 11:46 PM (GMT)
Rean nodded, grabbing him roughly bye the shirt and dragging him to his feet. "Any funny business, and I'll kill you." She whispered murderously. Rean turned to Miniya, still holding the man firmly. She smiled, "I'm Rean, thank you for your help..?" She waited for the other woman to fill in her name.
Miniya - April 5, 2005 11:49 PM (GMT)
Miniya would've returned the nod with a quick one of her own. She watched the man wince, letting out a whimper. Min looked over to Rean, and catching her smile, returned with her on small one. "Miniya." She supplied, her tone the same as when she spoke before.
Rean of Laraes - April 6, 2005 12:04 AM (GMT)
Rean hoisted the man behind her, and asked, "So, Miniya, where are you headed?" She slipped a dropped knife of hers into a sheath. Miniya is a pretty name. Rean thought. Miniya would probably think her a stupid noble woman if she told her that, though. And Rean was definitly not like that. She twisted the man's arm. She watched Miniya closely, in a friendly way.
Miniya - April 6, 2005 12:23 AM (GMT)
"The Rider barracks." Her eyes shifted from the man who she held captive to the sun. She still had time. Hopefully enough to change before dinner. Turning to gaze upon the noble, shewould return the question, but she knew where the squire would be headed off to. "Good luck with him...."
Rean of Laraes - April 6, 2005 08:38 PM (GMT)
Rean grinned. So much for new weapons. Not that she cared. She nodded to Miniya, "Thanks, again, for your help." She yanked the man by the shirt, and pressed her knife to his stomach. "I'll be off with him." She winked. Then she turned to the man.
He shook, sweating, "I-I'll give you anything! Really! T-The Gods watch over me!" He lied. Maybe she would let him go?
No chance. "You, man, are blasphemous." She dragged him away, off to the Palace, grumbling about men and their issues.
