“To come out of the box like we did this morning with both cars is pretty good. I’m happy with that. Speedway racing is pretty much what you’ve got when you get here. Guys will pick up a little bit, but we’ve got two good solid racecars now. They’re driving great and running good.
“My car is driving good, but we made a lot of improvements, so it’s hard to tell how much is the car. I’m sure the Charger has a lot to do with it. The areas where we were weak last year, we’ve improved, and hopefully we’ve gained on the areas where we were strong. The little stuff was hurting us, and we got it fixed. Slugger Labbe (crew chief) has brought a lot to the table. It’s showing already. I’m real happy. We’ve got the same type personalities and we’ve hit it off since day one. He’s going to be good with all the guys, and he’s working well with Kenny Francis.
“Our goal is to get back in the top 10 for those final 10 races and go for the championship. I wish they would put the top 10 in the own points deal where they race each other and don’t get 38th place points if you fall out of a race. Other than that, I think things worked great last season. It was fun to be part of it, and we just hope we can be a bigger part of it this year.”

I thought Kasey (and odd numbered points) were testing today. did I somehow get mixed up or did they change it? :wacko:

In another thread someone said that Kasey is tire testing in Atlanta and him and Jermey traded testing times in Daytona. So Kasey will do the even week instead.
I am happy to hear that the early charger tests are looking good.

reading this makes me even more pumped now that they have done some testing and feel good about what they have.......how nice would it be to knock of the DEI and HMS boys!!!!! GO EMS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Next week. He was tire testing in Atlanta with Jimmie Johnson this week. He and Jeremy switched.
