The inaugural Busch Series race in Montreal will be 74 laps around the
2.709-mile Circuit Gilles Villeneuve course, making it a 200.5-mile event.
NASCAR released the lengths and start times of its races as part of
its media guide, which became available Tuesday.
The Busch Series will have 15 of its 35 events starting at 7 p.m. or
later Eastern time. ESPN2 will televise all but six events, with the
rest on ABC. The previously-announced ABC races are Las Vegas (March
10), Atlanta (March 17), Bristol (March 24), Talladega (April 28), New
Hampshire (June 30) and Chicago (July 14).
The Las Vegas race, which started at 6:10 p.m. EST last year, will
have a 3 p.m. start this year. Another race that has a much earlier
start is the season finale at Homestead, which was 7:10 p.m. last year
but is 4:30 p.m. this year.
Three other races have had their start times moved about 90 minutes
later in 2007, with the events at Watkins Glen, Memphis and Texas in
November now starting at 3:30 p.m. EDT.
