Taylor Earnhardt to Carry on Racing Legacy

MOORESVILLE, NC – Teresa Earnhardt announced today that Sharpie, in addition to serving as a sponsor of Dale Earnhardt Incorporated, will also officially serve as the newest sponsor of Taylor Earnhardt on the 2007 Equestrian Barrel Racing circuit.

“Taylor’s got so much talent and fortitude when it comes to barrel racing,” said Mrs. Earnhardt. “We’re confident she’ll take Sharpie to new areas, while continuing the racing legacy of the Earnhardt family.”

"Sharpie is extremely proud to associate with Taylor Earnhardt," said Eric Pinkham, VP of Motorsports for Newell Rubbermaid. "Just like the entire Earnhardt family, she's bold and driven to be successful. We look forward to her helping us 'Write Out Loud' in 2007."

Earnhardt, 18, has competed successfully on the Junior Southern Rodeo Series for the past four years. In 2007, she will represent Sharpie in ten races throughout the country.

What is barrel racing?

doesnt barrel racing have to do with horses

Barrel racing — one woman, three barrels, a horse and the stopwatch. The horse is ridden as quickly as possible around a cloverleaf course of three barrels. At the end after all of the racers have finished their runs, the clock is the deciding factor.
