ok so i survived the trip...now recovery lol

Carrie you were SO right, the first time seeing that man live and...yeah no words right now.

so it was about a 3 1/2 hour ride with traffic and it was Freeeeezing by the time we made it to Charlottesville. Since it was a campus stop for them at the JPJ arena at University of VA it was a TINY place but we got a center stage set up so that helped since our seats were kinda high, ok they were 9 rows from the top but hey still close since it was a small space.

Totally freakin awesome! he started on the corner to our left and sang two songs and during the end of the first when the shock wore off I cried, don't know why, well sorta but hey, i got to finally see one of the shows i have always wanted to see! Then i flipped cause the first song he sang on our corner was "She'll leave you with a smile" and that song...I love it. :cloud9

so much more, and I can't member half of it. Ne whoo...Taylor Swift was great! I got her cd and signed, she was funny and really good.

We got drama in our section cause two rows above us...these kids brought about 20 lil whiskey mini's and got busted big time!

my friend and I waited in line at the merch booth from when taylor went off till after Milsap finished...(WOW!) and when we got back to our seats...well the cops were searching around with flashlights and such. they got booted about 2 mins before George came on...that sucks!

got home round 3AM and crashed out! more to come after I manage to shower and wake up and all lmao.

I'm really hoping he comes to Minnesota at some point so I can see him live. I've heard so many good things about him live in concert.

And I cried, again, during Amarillo by Morning. I don't know what it is about that song...

I wasn't that impressed with Taylor Swift. She talked way too much and seemed very needy of recognition -- but I will say this. Whoever is choosing her singles needs to be fired, because all of her fast songs are great and her slow songs all sound the same and are just shmaltzy blah. And she's releasing another shmaltzy blah song next! Boo!

Ronnie Milsap is from NC so his set was fabulous. He was wearing a t-shirt under his normal shirt that said "I Love Calling North Carolina Home," which was pretty much the best thing ever. I can't believe how many great songs he has, and the crowd -- even the youngins -- were into it. :)

And then there was King George. The Man. The Legend. Who I love so, so much. Michael said he was pretty sure George came before him. Psh. (Granted, George has been part of my life for 16 years more than Michael...) It was Cortney's first GS concert and Christy's too, so I think that made it even better.

I got a t-shirt that says "Damn Strait" which is something I say ALL THE TIME so the shirt was, essentially, made for me. I also got a GS Tour 2007 hoody because, well, because.

Oh! And Kim (and Helena, and Katie, and anybody else), you need to buy the Sunday Paper. The USA Weekend sections is gonna have a special George section!

I was so upset when I saw that George wasn't visiting us this time! It's now been a year (to the day b/c it was my 22nd birthday) since I saw him! Horrible, huh?! LoL. Glad everyone had fun! Can't wait to see pics!

Christy text messaged me and sounded excited about the concert as well... I'm glad y'all had fun... my parents are going to his concert next month i think... so I'll have to pass on your reviews :)

I've seen him in the months of January or February for the past 4 years, no joke. I saw him in like, '98 and '99 in Phoenix, and then went allllll the way to 2003 before seeing him again. But it's been either January (Charlotte, Greensboro) or February (Greensboro, Vegas) for the past 4 years.

If I randomly come into a pile of cash in the next 3 weeks I will be going to Charleston to see him, too. Yes. :hehe

I don't know what I'm going to do when he comes here in like, August. Oh. Celebrate my birthday.

I have the best (worst?) concert hangover ever. I haven't had one this bad in a while!
