Kasey isn't driving his own car according to his Sirius interview at least thats what I got from someone on Klub Kahne's version of it. But this confirms it:

it doesn't surprise me, cause KKR has had so many other things to get ready for with the expansion and they haven't been focused on a miget car race. But Wilke-Pak is a great team, he should have a great car.

I hate I'm not going out this year to see it, but if I had left today like I normally would I would have left my boss in a bad situation cause we still have the other 2 full-timers gone, hopefully one of them will be back today.

I imagine we should be able to keep up with Chili Bowl online again this year.......I need to go look for the link if there will be a radio broadcast or not

Kasey said in December at the KK Store apperance that he was only going to be there Friday and Saturday.

I wish I could go... I wanna go see some sprint car racing... ever since Elma I've decided I need to go see more sprint car racing when I can... and there just so happens to be a track near eugene that has sprint car races during the school year :)

I just hope that he does well at the Chili Bowl but I'm sure he will.

I'm at the Chili Bowl and I must say, if the rest of the week is half as good as last night, it's going to be an awesome race week! Last night was the first time a female started on the pole in any feature race; she did really well throughout, but lost it at the end to finish 4th, which is still pretty good, if you ask me.

Between the 2 C features (I think), some guy proposed to his girlfriend... it was cute and of course she said yes.

Anyway, I forgot to take my camera in last night but I won't forget it tonight and I'll try my hardest to keep you guys updated on anything spectacular and post some pics when I get them. And I'll be in the pits Friday and Saturday so I should have some really good Kasey/Tony/JJ pics. :clap

I heard about the weather so I'm crossing my fingers that I don't get stuck since I start my new job orientation on Monday.

Anyway, sorry I didn't get to update last night; I had to go to the bar, ya know. It was my friend's birthday so I did a long distance over-the-phone toast to her. And since I hadn't eaten all day, I ended up quite tipsy off my one glass of wine and cosmo. Haha

So, yeah, the race action is SO exciting. It's some of the best that I've seen scine I've been coming here. They kept messing with the track between the races and that made it kinda boring, but once they learned to leave it alone, the action got exciting! I think it's gonna be a great week!

Last night, Sammy Swindell, Danny Lasoski, and a few other "big names" raced (a few pictures will be in the picture forum). Tonight, it's gonna be JJ Yeley, Ryan Durst, and Jason Leffler that I know of. So, of course, I'll have more pictures. Hopefully they're better than the ones I got last night.

So, anyone that has been in the past happen to remember how much pit passes are if you already have a ticket? I can't remember and I wanna make sure I save enough money to get into the pits tomorrow and Friday. So, that's all for now; I'll try and get something better tonight. :)

Stupid band for booking a stupid show the same weekend as the Chili Bowl and asking me to promote. If it weren't for them I would be there tomorrow afternoon.

I spot Tony!

Speaking of Tony, I spied him tonight at the beginning from my spot high atop the grandstands and wow.. he's lost a lot of weight and he looks really good! So, good for him! Haha. Some guy behind me said that when they were in the pits, Tony had a Kasey shirt on... I woulda loved to have seen and taken a pic of that!

Let's see... what can I say about tonight? It rocked! Ryan did an awesome job and won his heat race so he didn't have to race again until the A Feature, where he finished 6th. He put up a heck of a fight trying to get to that 4th and final transfer spot, tho. JJ raced his heart out, coming back from a few miscues to finish 3rd in the A Feature. During his heat race, he took the lead on the first lap and was running way out front when he decided to do a few flips in turn 4 on the 2nd lap. Haha, he was obviously okay, though. There were some monterous crashes tonight. For those that have been, (and hopefullly I can explain it a lil to those that haven't) but you know where they push the cars on and off the track in turn 4? Some guy went flipping end over end into the ramp and people were running like mad to get out of the way. It was crazy! And then some other guy flipped and landed hard and I think it actually knocked him out... anyway, he was supposed to race in the 1st B Feature, but he was still in the ambulance at that time. So, heck, he just decided he'd race in the 2nd B Feature. Pretty awesome, huh?!

What else? Oh yeah, I'm not sure if y'all are listening to it or not, but I say Jason Leffler is one to keep an eye on this week. He's got some power and he's been doing really good! At one point, everyone was literally going "where'd he come from?"! Okay, so this is long and boring now, so i'm gonna mosy on over to the pics forum and post a few pics. Some of them actually turned out better today... YAY!!!

Tomorrow I gotta wake up early (no more sleeping until 1:00) so that I can catch the bus from the hotel to the expo center so I can be sure to be in line for the Mopar autograph session (which includes one, Kasey Kahne). Haha... I hate not having my own car!!!! Okay, until next time, decues! And GO KASEY!

BTW, do they have the 11x14's pics of them racing that you can buy? If they do, I would so pay someone to get me one of Kase. I have one from the past 2 years and I even got Kase to sign them out there and I'd love to have one from this year even though I'm not there just to put up on my wall with the others.

I see nobody has posted the results for Kasey's first heat race. Sounds like he finished 6th (outta 7) and that was because a someone crashed at the end. :unsure: Poor Kasey. they just interviewed him and he sounded so concerned (although the reporter called it his "game face") awww I could just imagine how shaky his hands were. He did say they are working on the car and that he will get back out there in the qualifier and hopefully get into the A Main event.

whew those of you who went. That weather is kicking your butt isnt it? I live about a hour away and I usually go but this year I had hand surgery the other day so travelling is out of the question. A hour away...and our lights have been flickering. I am pretty freaked out. We are in the middle of a full blown ice storm here.



I know all the local airports have closed down here and in Tulsa.
