I wondered why i didn't recognize the name. Whoever posts it just does it as a courtesy and I know when I've done it I don't look at the member's profile

I know they do it as a courtesy but it still seems silly to me.

I don't see why it's too big of a deal. If it's bothersome, just don't post a greeting on the person you don't know.

I agree with Jen and Sara. If you don't recognize the person, then don't click on the thread if you don't want to...or go in and wish them a happy birthday anyways...its a nice thing to do. The threads aren't hurting anyone...

Honestly, I think its kind of silly to bring up such a petty thing...but eh, thats just my opinion.

I agree. It's just a nice thing to do.. you never know when the person will come back to look.
