Title: Least Favorite moment of the season.....

Scrapbookgirl9 - December 27, 2006 02:27 PM (GMT)
All right, we did the favorite one. So now the least favorite........

I really wanted to say the crashes or engine failures. But I actually have a race in mind that was probably the hardest one to watch all year.

Richmond Spring......the plug wires and going 5 laps down. Watching that race and watching Kasey run with the leaders and beating the leaders all night long was enough to make me want to puke. I can take an engine failure or a wreck when you didn't have one of the best cars, but when you know he could have won that race or easily finished Top 3.......it hurts big time.

Indy is a close 2nd to this one, but Richmond just really stuck out in my mind all year.

Hopefully for next year they've got all the issues worked out and won't have all of the dumbluck they had this past year and we won't have to suffer through races like Richmond.

Fall Atlanta. Even though the interview was great, my first urge was to smack Kasey upside the head. The Chase could have been different.

:nod

That one race could have changed alot I think. I agree, at first I wanted to smack him for that one.

Ouch!...the Atlanta "brain lapse" gets my vote, too.

Atlanta

I think Indy, Atlanta fall and Texas fall.

1) Indy - that was about as stupid as you can get. He's damn lucky he didn't kill himself there
2) Atlanta - "I was looking ahead and I forgot he was there." How do you forget where another car is?
4) Pocono II - You're on the charge at a track you still haven't quite figured out and you damn engine blows right as you in the top 10. That's heart breaking and a huge set back and I witnessed this first hand.

I agree Atlanta (although I think Sock Puppets would of helped him and his story) and Indy... Like y'all say the brain fart... was stupid... and Indy scared the CRAP out of me...

racefan9 - December 27, 2006 08:02 PM (GMT)
I would have to say Indy. I guess it's because I had high hopes for that race.

Katrina9 - December 27, 2006 09:01 PM (GMT)
Atlanta definitely. You almost wonder if that never happened where Kasey would have ended up in the Chase. But the interview was definitely awesome..lol :hehe :)

I'll make mine short and sweet

Indy and Kansas, god that was hard to watch . Atlanta didn't bother me so much. But Kansas, that was tough to swallow

I would have to say Indy. He had a great finish ahead of him, and then was in someone elses mess. There were others, but that was MY least fav. moment.

Indy
I was scared and sad at the same time.
He just wanted it so badly.
So sad.

My vote goes to Atlanta as well.

nanajeanie - December 28, 2006 04:54 PM (GMT)
Atlanta. I was hitting my head against the wall during the whole mess

i'm late on this but for me it's a toss-up between Indy and Atlanta. I was at both and going back, I think I was more upset about Indy. Just the whole drama on the radio scared the crap out of me. I had never heard Kole and Kenny that upset before. And Atlanta, well, I thought I was going to throw up. Both hurt because prior to the crashes, the team had been working so hard to get the car into contention. He wouldn't have won Indy, but it would have helped him make the Chase easier. But Atlanta, man, like y'all have said, the "what if" factor really hurts to think about now.

Kansas is a runner up. I thought they were going to put a band-aid on the hurt from Dover, I really did. I'll never undersand how they could have been so off on fuel when they're normally really good at fuel mileage.
