Voda to join Fox Sports team

Krista Voda, who spent most of last season in a variety of roles with Speed Channel, has been hired as a new pit road reporter for Fox's broadcast of Nextel Cup races beginning next season, The Charlotte Observer has learned.

Voda, a native of Clinton, Iowa, worked with Speed's coverage of AMA Supercross and the NASCAR Truck Series. Toward the end of the season, she served as host of the series' prerace show.

Voda also is expected to continue to work with Speed Channel next season, again likely with the Truck series, but her exact role has not been announced.

Good for Krista. She amazingly does not drive me insane.

I think Krista will do a good job. I really liked her on Totally NASCAR, and from the few truck races I watched this year, she did a good job pit reporting.
