NASCAR's Jeff Gordon to Become A Dad

Jeff Gordon will soon be getting a new set of wheels – a stroller.
The four-time NASCAR Cup Series champ and his Belgian model-actress wife, Ingrid Vandebosch, are expecting their first child this summer.
"We're obviously very excited," Gordon, 35, writes on his Web site. "Christmas came early for us this year. This is a very special gift for us – one that we're both looking forward to. The due date is early July, and Ingrid and I can't wait to be parents."
He adds, "We've known for a little while, but we couldn't wait any longer to share the good news with our friends and fans."
Gordon and Vandebosch met in the summer of 2002 through mutual friends and began dating in the winter of 2005. They worked together on the 2004 movie Taxi, in which Vandebosch played a bank robber and Gordon made an unbilled cameo appearance.
Gordon announced their engagement on June 24 at California's Infineon Raceway, just north of San Francisco.
The couple wed on Nov. 7 in a private ceremony in Mexico, and spent their honeymoon weekend in Phoenix, where Gordon competed in the Checker Auto Parts 500.

I heard on the radio this morning that her being pregnant is the reason that got married.
Oh well.

It's likely the reason they sped up the marriage, but I don't think it's the ONLY reason they're getting married. They do actually seem to like each other.

Yeah.. and I read somewhere before they got married that they had already planned the off-season. And if you look at them, you can see how in love they really are.

According to this article, the wedding was already planned and 5 days away when she found out:

Well, let's see here...
The kid is due in early July 2007. The gestation period for a human baby is 9 months. That would put conception in early October. As another poster above pointed out, she found out 5 days before they headed to Mexico for the wedding.
So I'm not going to condemn them at all. Close enough, easily.
