The team director for the No. 9 team has done a really good job despite being moved around the last couple of years with different drivers. It's a big challenge to be thrown into a new team and buy into a system that Ray Evernham said would work. But you've got to buy into the system to make it work. He did, and he's proved it works with six victories and a berth in the Chase. It would be easy for me to say, "Well, why not Chad Knaus?" The No. 48 crew chief has been with Jimmie Johnson since the team's inception. They've had a chance to bond, get married, divorced, get married, divorced and get married again. Francis started working on the No. 9 team in Evernham's totally different structure, and he gave Kasey Kahne an opportunity to be a contender for the championship.



Kenny was one of only three that they reviewed. Kenny is the best. To do what they did as a team the first year together is amazing and will only get better the longer that they are together. :clap

Kenny does deserve all the recognition that he is getting and more. If Kasey and him can keep the communication up they will be a force to wrecken with in 2007.
