Mears and National Guard in Turkey race: while not yet confirmed, it was reported a while back that the National Guard sponsorship would move from the #16 Greg Biffle Ford to the #25 Hendrick Motorsports Chevy that Casey Mears will drive in 2007.

It has been reported that Mears drove a sprint car at Irwindale Speedway in the Turkey Night Grand Prix and was sponsored by the National Guard and he was wearing a National Guard/GMAC Hendrick firesuit. It was recently announced that the National Guard would not return to the #16

A couple of weeks ago, there was an ad in Nascar Scene that had the 2007 pit caps pictured. Casey's had the National Guard/GMAC on it. :na

Well, with National Guard on board, it probably won't look the same. Although he might run a similar-looking GMAC car a couple times.
