KASEY KAHNE (No. 9 Dodge Dealers/UAW Dodge Charger)

"The late cautions really hurt us. Our car didn't take off that well on restarts, so the last caution cost us a couple of positions at the finish. Our No. 9 Dodge Charger was definitely a top-five car and was capable of taking the win. We had great pit stops and Kenny (Francis, team director) and the crew kept up with the changing track conditions. We just had a problem with restarts in traffic and needed a few laps under green to get going. It would have been nice to finish the season with a win, but we won the pole, led the most laps and had a top-five finish. It's been a great season for our team and Evernham Motorsports."

I'll drink to that, Kasey! :drunksing

You guys did awesome all night and never gave up. You finished on a strong note, and that's what you needed. Enjoy the off-season and be ready to roar in '07!

Awww! They did have a good race despite the restarts and it really was a great season for them! They should be proud of how they did this year and enjoy the time off. Next season will be even better!

Here's a little from Denny & Martin's post race interview....

Q. What happened with Kasey Kahne on that last restart? How were you able to get around him?

MARTIN TRUEX JR.: He used too much brake and not enough gas.

DENNY HAMLIN: That's the way I saw it.

MARTIN TRUEX JR.: Yeah, that was it.

DENNY HAMLIN: I think mainly me and him bogged each other down riding side by side too much and that opened up the door for Martin to just blow by us. I was looking out for myself and didn't even pay attention to what was behind me.

Kasey should keep his head up all off-season long, the most wins, the Bud Pole Award, a birth in the Chase, an awesome team that gave him great cars week in and week out........

they'll just get even better, I'm so ready for 2007. It's going to be an awesome year!

One of my co-workers and I do some good natured picking through the season. She is a Jimmie fan. She was like how bout Jimmie? I was like that is just fine, Kasey will get his championships. And oh by the way who had the most wins this season? She was like I don't know. I said that would be KASEY KAHNE. And 6 wins is an awesome season for anybody. She had to agree with that one.

I have enjoyed watching this team this season. I can't wait til Febuary.
