Bill Elliott's book Awesome Bill from Dawsonville just came out and I got it through my library. I haven't read the whole thing so far but it has a few Kasey mentions. This is my favorite:

"One of my concerns about my new arrangement was that I thought I'd grow jealous of Kasey. But that hasn't happened. I'm truely happy with what he's doing. He's a good kid. He's got a great future in the sport. That's not to say this sport won't chew you up and spit you out. It will. You've just got to learn to roll with the ups and downs. Right now, even though he missed out on the 2004 Race to the Chase championshp, he's on the upswing. I think a lot of people underestimated his potential. Having good equipment week in and week out is giving him the confidence he needs. I've tried to help him every way I can, but there are certain things he's going to have to learn himself, like patience at Bristol"


So far the book is really good and interesting, plus its got some really old pictures (Bill as a kid is cute).

Patience and focus. Two things that still hurt him this year along with the reliable equipment. Kasey is going to be a star beyond what he is now, it's just a matter of him getting the full package together.

patience is just one thing that has to come on their own..........Kasey's done a pretty good job, he's growing and getting better at it......

he's mastered Bristol patience at least :)

I can't wait to get it. I was so excited to here he has a book out. I got is old book from the 80's called "Fastest Man Alive" It talks about his early years up until his championship. It's pretty good. I know this one will be too!
