Title: Food for Thought

I'm not sure what happened with Elliott Sadler's car, but not accounting for whatever the problem there was, EMS engines had a 43% failure rate this weekend. Erin's in the truck race, Kasey's today, and then Kyle Petty's went on the last lap of the rate. That's 3/7 engines. Looks like they've got some work to do.

They've had the least reliable engines most of the season, too.

I live by the engine shop. Want me to go kick some booty? :lmbo

Heads need to roll because of this. No reason at all this should have happened with the frequency it did this year.

They need to find out what's wrong and fix it.

anyone know what did happen to El?

I hope they can get it taken care of before the beginning of next season... We can't keep having this happen almost every other race. That's way too many engines to lose.

Yeah I think the engines have been disappointing this year. I wonder what the stats would be on failures if you factor in the Petty cars (did Evernham supply them all year?) . It seems like they had quite a few failures also.

EMS did supply Petty engines all year.....

and it has been a rough year with engines, I'm sure Ray is working on that trying to figure out why.....maybe the new nose will help next year too, hopefully the temps won't run as high as they have at times this year and that could help. And hopefully debris won't catch on the nose like it has.....

whatever the issue is I'm sure Ray and company are on it. I do kinda wish their engine shop wasn't 45 minutes from the rest of the shop though.
