Title: Gotta love it

drivedodge9 - October 29, 2006 11:11 PM (GMT)
I laughed when they interviewed Kahne after his screw up with Stremme. Gotta love it when Kahne talks like that. HEY, he just got back out on the track now. Right on! I know he won't win, but at least he's goin' back out.

GO # 9!

If they don't show it on tv anywhere, watch the race replay on Thursday if you can. You'll see the interview.

I loved it when Kasey said Shut the hell up, only he had to stumble over hell rather than say it. I was laughing so hard. God I love that kid.

SD#1KaseyFan - October 30, 2006 03:22 AM (GMT)
The thing that is so great about Kasey is that he stepped up and took the blame like a man. I know that there are some drivers that are older than him that aren't nearly the man that he is.

When he becomes a champion, he will make one of the best for the way that he conducts himself on and off the track.

I love when he was imitating Stremme. It's hiliarious. He does such a great job. The last 3 weeks have been great for Kasey interviews.

Still sucks that we had to have a great interview in such a horrible situation.

David had no reason to be in the 9 garage... did he deserve an explanation from Kasey... sure... but it wasn't the time to ask for one... wait till you cool off to go talk to someone... then again just let Kasey reinact it... cause it's hilarious...

I was waiting for Kasey to pull out sock puppets and do voices! :lmbo

OMG that thing is still the best interview of the year even seeing it again this morning

I love Kasey, I just love him......I'm actually glad everyone got the chance to see that side of him, I think it will help with some of the ones that don't take him seriously

:bowdown - I think everyone has to be bowing down to Kasey after that interview, cause its the best thing ever

And he handled it with such class, which makes me love him even more

SD#1KaseyFan - October 30, 2006 12:39 PM (GMT)
Kasey has really come out of his shell the past few weeks in front of the camera. Examples:
Charolette Busch race and the David Reutimann comment, not really a typical Kasey reaction.
Charolette VL interview and the comment at the end about slamming it into 2nd and how he thought he had to have broken something. That came out of left field.
Martinsville qualifying and the broken down golf cart. Hiliarious, he's answering the question and in the next breath "My golf cart just broke down."

and last but definitley not least

Atlanta and what will probably always be the infamous Kasey interview to me. What can I say about it but, fricking hiliarous.

The world is finally seeing the really Kasey that his fans always knew was hiding inside that quiet, shy man.

Keep it coming Kasey, we love that side of you.

Katie9 - October 30, 2006 01:15 PM (GMT)
I'm still rolling the morning after because of that interview. I showed it to a coworker who missed the race yesterday and I don't think I've ever seen him laugh so hard!

NeverBeenThawed - October 30, 2006 01:43 PM (GMT)
The more I've thought about this, the more I'm kinda irked at Kasey. He drove like an ***hole in the Busch race and then comes thisclose to dropping an F-bomb on national television? Nice. Sure, it was heat of the moment for that one, but everyone always goes on and on about how nice and wonderful Kasey is and clearly that is untrue. And as far as driving like he had his head up his ass in the Busch race...well, wow.
He can't keep making these rookie mistakes (Indy, Watkins Glen, yesterday) and expect to ever win a title. Don't give me the "He's only in his third year" excuse because Tony won a title in his third year. So did JeffG if I remember correctly.
Kasey's a good driver. But he's nowhere near great.

I think it's unfair to say that just because Kasey almost swear, but didn't, makes him not nice and wonderful. Kasey is human and he has bad weekends just like the rest of us. Only difference is the his is televised on national TV. Was I impressed with how he ran the Busch race, No. He was driving a little more aggressively than normal, but when he doesn't drive that way everyone tells him to. The boy can't win either he's driving too aggressively or not enough.

As far as his interview, at least he was aware enought not to swear on tv. It just shows that the boy does have a personality, and not all of his interviews are boring and matter of fact.

This is just my opinion

NeverBeenThawed - October 30, 2006 02:07 PM (GMT)
Yeah. The almost swearing isn't as big of a deal to me as the number of mistakes HE has made to dig himself into these holes this year. He can't keep doing it. He'll never win a title that way. It all comes back to a steep learning curve. Either keep up or keep away.

Princess_Sara400 - October 30, 2006 02:16 PM (GMT)
um look at Tony this year... would you think he would make mistakes like he does and do things like he has done this year not even a year after winning a championship. No but he has.

Kasey had a bad weekend and even in the pictures he didn't seem like himself to me. I think the pressure of the chase finally got to him this weekend
