haydenandkaseylover09 - October 22, 2006 09:00 PM (GMT)
way to go Kasey!! You can still get this thing. Onto Hotlanta and we know Kasey can win there.
SD#1KaseyFan - October 22, 2006 09:00 PM (GMT)
Way to go Kasey. From 32 to 7, what a great drive. Now lets go out and get you next 2 sweeps, and move up in the points.
We all believe in you and your team. This team rocks and will never give up. I think you proved that today.
NeverBeenThawed - October 22, 2006 09:07 PM (GMT)
I'm feeling better about their chances now than I ever have.
This team is starting to become more and more like Jimmie Johnson's team every day. I've noticed it for the past two years-that the 48 team never quits fighting, never quits digging, and they always seem to be there at the end. I see the 9 team becoming more and more like that all the time, with every passing race. I'm proud to be a 9 fan right now.
They've come such a long way since last year. Kasey is growing up quite nicely. Kenny has been a miraculous addition to this team. Things just...work. A little bit of luck today? Sure. But a heck of a lot of hard work and determination is what's put this team right back in it.
Onward and upward. It applies in so many ways right now.
*Ashwee* - October 22, 2006 09:09 PM (GMT)
congrats to kasey and the crew!
Melissa - October 22, 2006 09:10 PM (GMT)
He is gonna keep moving up each week. When Homestead is finished, everyone else will be saying "Where did Kahne come from?" and we will be saying "WE TOLD YA SO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!"
Princess_Sara400 - October 22, 2006 09:12 PM (GMT)
This was awesome. Go Kasey he can do it
Jennifer - October 22, 2006 09:19 PM (GMT)
This team can do it, 99 points out is nothing with the tracks coming up. They never gave up today and worked so hard, that's what it takes.
I love what Kenny has brought to this team, he and Kasey work so well together. Kenny is just what Kasey needed
I believe this team is on the right track to win the Championship

100 points is the difference between 1st and 21st in a race. Kasey's definitely still in this, especially with the tracks coming up.
Phoenix concerns me the most, but Kasey finished 6th last time there and finished top five his first race at that track.
Melissa - October 22, 2006 09:37 PM (GMT)
Gordon made up 75 points today and he finished 5th.
DAMN RIGHT KASEY IS STILL IN THIS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
racefan9 - October 22, 2006 09:41 PM (GMT)
Go Kasey! He keeps getting closer!

That was awesome, Lena! :clap
I could just repost what I said in the race thread, but suffice it to say, yeah. We're still in this.
Go get 'em, Kasey!
smokeyslost - October 22, 2006 09:52 PM (GMT)
Way to come out of crazy, chaotic race and gain points on the leader. Exactly what the team needed to do this weekend.
racefan9 - October 22, 2006 10:25 PM (GMT)
I just keep feeling better about Kasey's chances every week!
NWfan938 - October 22, 2006 10:37 PM (GMT)
Nice job today Kasey! Go for win #7 at Atlanta!
LittleManFan - October 22, 2006 10:43 PM (GMT)
:yay Getting closer to that championship!!
Scrapbookgirl9 - October 23, 2006 02:04 AM (GMT)
DUDE, I'm so damn proud to be fan of this team.......they freaking rock!
in the back of my head I knew the best thing for the team would be if they could get within 100 by Martinsville.......so 99 points out, def fits my goal.
With 4 races left 99 points is nothing.......Kasey and the team just have to keep doing what they've been doing. Go out there and get the best finish possible. 3 of the last 4 races are def possibilities to win and they can get a great finish out of Phoenix too
I BELIEVE!!!!!
Dedication. Drive. Determination.
This team never EVER gives up!
They really didn't have a great car today, but they kept at it and they got 7th........thats what this team has to do
Go Kasey Go!
carriekins - October 23, 2006 03:53 AM (GMT)
Bob Dillner "likes Kasey" for the Championship.
Here we go...!
Scrapbookgirl9 - October 23, 2006 11:24 AM (GMT)
I still believe this Monday morning
yesterday when we were leaving the track I said to Mike "of the 4 races left for the year, they've raced on 3 of them this year and Kasey has 2 wins and a 6th......I like that, if they can run that good at those tracks again then they will be there for Homestead"
right now thats all I want for Kasey.......to be there for Homestead, I really don't know if I want him to go into Homestead has the leader, I just want him to get close and have a shot at Homestead
as ESad said.......Kasey was hauling the mail at Homestead testing so all I want is a good shot for him come Homestead
NeverBeenThawed - October 23, 2006 01:07 PM (GMT)
Speaking of Sadler and the 19, looks like they're still giving that team the shitty equipment.
carriekins - October 23, 2006 01:38 PM (GMT)
I think the 19's engines are jinxed. Which makes me sad, but Elliott's run yesterday was eerily similar to Kasey's run in the Spring race. I'm sure it's frustrating for him because his finishes are seriously not indicitave (<-- Vickersism) of how well he runs in that car. Le sigh.
NeverBeenThawed - October 23, 2006 01:40 PM (GMT)
KandyKahne09 - October 23, 2006 02:38 PM (GMT)
Go Kasey!!! On to Atlanta!

GO KASEY AND TEAM #9!!!!!!!
kahne krazy - October 23, 2006 11:06 PM (GMT)
Way to go Kasey & the 9 Krew!!! I can't wait for these tracks coming up and climbing that ladder to the top!!! Never giving up!!!
KKAngel9 - October 24, 2006 07:52 AM (GMT)
After being present at the race and seeing Kasey's awesome performance, I have to say that there is no doubt that I still believe!

believe the 19 team was trying something for 07 to see if it worked......
obviously it didn't, but I think ESad is cool with it. He knows they have to be prepared for 07

She's right. I'm pretty sure they said that on the broadcast. They were trying new engine set-ups with the 19 and 10 for next year and the 9 had a completely different set up.

I see. Well, sure hope he stays in the top 35 with these "experimental" things. He's only 68 points from the danger spot of 35th, and it's only about that many more back until 36th, and we've seen (a la Kasey) that it's easier to fall out than move up.
NeverBeenThawed - October 24, 2006 01:22 PM (GMT)
Whoops. Looks like I steered us off topic here. :offtopic
Back to Kasey. :k1
Go Kasey!

lol, my dad informed me when I got home from the race when I asked him "what the heck happened to ESad"
