Title: I hope the Tigers sweep the Cardinals

Katie41 - October 20, 2006 03:54 AM (GMT)
Anyone else hoping? :)

Court - October 20, 2006 03:58 AM (GMT)
*raises hand* ME ME ME!

I'm a Michigan girl, so I HAVE to support the home team! And.. this only happens about once every 22 years lmao So this is HUGE here!

GO TIGERS!!!!!!

NeverBeenThawed - October 20, 2006 04:30 AM (GMT)
Wait...this is baseball, right? Umm. I'm actually gonna have to go with the Cardinals here. Although it'd be nice for Detroit if the Tigers won since their football team kinda blows.

I'm a Michigan girl, too... it IS huge. There were massive "Watch Parties" at some movie theaters... I'm hoping those are still going to be happening. I think I'd like to go to one.

GO TIGERS!!!!!!

No... but I don't expect my team to ever make it, so, since Cardinals are from the great state of MO.. I shall side with Kenny Wallace and cheer for the Cards.

Just remember what the Cards players were saying after the game.. the Tigers have a GREAT team!

GO TIGERS!!!!!!!!

My mom was born and raised in Flint, and there are pictures of me at 2 years old rockin' the Tiger hat. So, while I'm normally a National League girl, I'm all Tigers this year. WOOHOO!

Scrapbookgirl9 - October 20, 2006 11:49 AM (GMT)
hmmmm I don't know who I'm gonna cheer for.......I really don't care either way

Katie9 - October 20, 2006 12:21 PM (GMT)
GO CARDINALS!!!

Since the Twins suck and aren't in it I'll go with good 'ol St. Louis!!

jenn_gp - October 20, 2006 07:03 PM (GMT)
I really don't care who wins either, but it would be nice for the Tigers fans to win simply because their team has sucked for so many years.

BUT Detroit already has too many championships with the Pistons anyways..they have enough lol...and didn't the Red Wings win the Stanley cup recently too or am I just totally wrong about that?

Oh well, go Tigers I guess. I just want the World Series to be over so that House and Prison Break can come back!

JanvierFireChick43-2 - October 20, 2006 07:13 PM (GMT)
ehhh.. sorry folks.. gotta support my team here..

GO CARDINALS GO!

Last Cup they won was back in the '01-'02 season

I'm rooting for the Tigers. They beat my Yankees, but they've shown all year they were the team to beat, and I still believe it.

Katie41 - October 21, 2006 05:40 AM (GMT)
I'm just rooting for the Tigers because

#1. The Cards beat the Mets, which I hated
#2. The Cards were already probably my least favorite team in all of sports. Actually, maybe that's the Dallas Cowboys or Mavericks, but the Cards are certainly down there with them on my list.

KandyKahne09 - October 21, 2006 11:29 PM (GMT)
any team that beats the New York Yankees desevers to win the damn thing

SD#1KaseyFan - October 22, 2006 02:43 AM (GMT)
I am so torn now. I was going for the Tigers to win, but just found out the my favorite player for the 2002 Anaheim Angels plays for the Cardinals. I will probably still root for the Tigers and just go for Eckstein when he is at bat.

TrustFundGirl - October 22, 2006 05:49 AM (GMT)
Baseball bores me but I'm cheering for the Cardinals because:

1. I'm mad that the Tigers beat my Yankees.
2. I'm happy that the Cards beat the Mets.

Court - October 23, 2006 03:24 AM (GMT)
Tigers win game 2.. series tied 1-1

jenn_gp - October 23, 2006 06:29 PM (GMT)
Woohoo Go Tigers. I definately want them to win now because I totally forgot that they have Carlos Guillen. He used to be a Mariner, and he's really improved his game since then. I was pretty upset when they traded him. He deserves to win.

carriekins - October 23, 2006 07:18 PM (GMT)
GOOOOO TIGERS!!!!

KahnesMyHero - October 26, 2006 02:20 AM (GMT)
WhooHoo! My boys on the mound tonight! Go Jeremy Bonderman! If they get to play lol

Court - October 26, 2006 03:36 AM (GMT)
The game's postponed 'til tomorrow.. blah!

Jen - October 26, 2006 05:22 AM (GMT)
I don't think they'll be getting either game in tomorrow. Supposed to be a 90% chance of rain in St. Louis....... blech. We're getting hit with it all before it goes there

Court - October 26, 2006 05:23 AM (GMT)
Isn't it supposed to rain for the next few days there?

Princess_Sara400 - October 26, 2006 04:01 PM (GMT)
When are they supposed to try and play today?

Court - October 26, 2006 05:10 PM (GMT)
Same time as last night.. around 8 ET. They're just moving all the games back now.

Clear for now.... but that nice heavy crap from western Kansas will be here later... and then there. Depends on how fast it's moving and how much more pop up

NeverBeenThawed - October 26, 2006 05:19 PM (GMT)
Yep, they will be getting our storm as it moves east. It's a doozie---fair warning.

Court - October 26, 2006 05:19 PM (GMT)
They were saying last night that it's supposed to rain for the next few days there.. so they'll just have to play in between the rain drops lmao

Katie9 - October 26, 2006 05:21 PM (GMT)
Let's just play in the rain... that will spruce things up a bit

Jen - October 26, 2006 05:30 PM (GMT)
If it's anything like last night, there is no inbetween.. lol It started about 6 and it didn't stop until this morning. It was nasty driving home in it.. and the thunder was LOUD. Scared the crap out of me

Court - October 26, 2006 05:31 PM (GMT)
They should have the whole crowd hole tarps up the entire game lol

carriekins - October 26, 2006 06:00 PM (GMT)
They should just move the Series to Chase Field in Phoenix. That way, if it rains, they can just close the roof. :nod

NeverBeenThawed - October 26, 2006 06:02 PM (GMT)
Am I the only one who sees the irony in having a retractable roof in Arizona?

carriekins - October 26, 2006 06:08 PM (GMT)
No, but it's also used for the air conditioning during the summer baseball season. :)

I miss my ballpark. And I'm pissed as hell they renamed it.

NeverBeenThawed - October 26, 2006 06:09 PM (GMT)
I liked The BOB better.

Ah, I hadn't thought about air conditioning. Genius.

carriekins - October 26, 2006 06:12 PM (GMT)
It will always be BOB to me. ALWAYS! Nothing is going to take that away. My Dbacks defeated those fracking Yankees twice during the World Series at BOB. Nothing is ever going to change that. Nothing.

KahnesMyHero - October 27, 2006 05:38 AM (GMT)
I missed the game...but I heard Tigers lost by 1....is it sure? :(
