Title: class rings
Chance2GetJSnider - October 19, 2006 03:17 AM (GMT)
Ok so i got my stuff about it today finally. And they have nascar ones. I was just wondering if anyone else had that and if so if they had kasey as a option. They dont have a kasey one in mine if they did i would get it on my ring but they suck and dont have it but yet they have Paul Menard on it
Hollee - October 19, 2006 03:39 AM (GMT)
do they have Jon or Jamie? lol.
Katie41 - October 19, 2006 03:54 AM (GMT)
I'm only a sophomore, but the Juniors at my school ordered their class rings last month, and they had a Kasey ring. They had most every regular Cup driver.
In ours, they had like NFL and NHL and a bunch of other random rings too.
But, wow, there must have been around 600-800 different rings to choose from in the whole catalog, which is why I'm probably not gonna get a class ring next year.
Princess_Sara400 - October 19, 2006 04:53 AM (GMT)
Man they didn't have anything like that when I ordered mine... god its been 4 years ago no wonder lol

Same here lmao I don't even think mine fits me anymore.. my fingers have gotten a lot smaller since I've lost a lot of weight
KKAngel9 - October 19, 2006 07:13 AM (GMT)
When I got my rings (high school and college), they only had the standard options, no special things like NASCAR or anything.
Chance2GetJSnider - October 19, 2006 10:13 AM (GMT)
Ok thanks. They have all the dei cars and denny hamlin, vickers and jamie and carl but no kasey
lalabee - October 19, 2006 01:07 PM (GMT)
Wow. I feel really old. I was able to get pom poms and a megaphone on mine. I mean, it was things you were actually involved in, not teams you liked or whatever. Things sure have changed.
Lucky Ducky - October 19, 2006 01:09 PM (GMT)
Why couldn't they have NASCAR ones when I graduated? Oh yeah. The only options for rings were those sports that you participated in during your high school years. I had bowling and softball on mine *shrug*.
The purpose of a class ring is to remember the good times IN school. And unless Junior or Kahne is racing in your high school gym, I don't see the point in it.
~Meg~ - October 19, 2006 03:21 PM (GMT)
i got mine last year and they had kasey ones when i got mine.
Princess_Sara400 - October 19, 2006 04:02 PM (GMT)
it probably goes by the company.
I've had to get mine resized like 2 times. And its big again.

Same here...
I have a music staff (since I was in both Jazz and Concert Choir) and my astrological symbol on mine.
And I could only order mine as a senior, if I remember right.
Things sure have changed in 10 years...well, almost. LOL
TrustFundGirl - October 19, 2006 05:43 PM (GMT)
Class rings? Ick. Cheap jewelry is not my thing!
NeverBeenThawed - October 19, 2006 05:45 PM (GMT)
Haha!
I spent a bundle on my class ring. Well, it was a lot of money for a high school student who bought their own ring. I actually came across mine yesterday.
AmeriKahneGirl924 - October 19, 2006 05:46 PM (GMT)
I lost my high school one.
My college ring was $450. It is not cheap by any means. I don't wear it too much, because I really dont want to lose it.
Lucky Ducky - October 19, 2006 05:49 PM (GMT)
I think my high school ring was like $300...but eh, that was way back in 1995.
carriekins - October 19, 2006 05:59 PM (GMT)
My HS ring was like, $179 -- no clue what that would be equal to ten years later! I had to go with sterling silver because I couldn't afford white gold. I wore it up till a few years ago. Now I'm not really sure where it is.
I had the drama/comedy faces on mine 'cause I was pretty active in the theatre department.
racefan9 - October 19, 2006 06:00 PM (GMT)
We didn't have Nascar for our rings. :(
Jen - October 19, 2006 06:03 PM (GMT)
My high school ring was about $200. Not cheap by any means, if you ask me. I got the mascot on one side, and an orchestra symbol on the other side.
Psh.. wish they would've had NASCAR back then, too. We got ours as sophmores.. so.. probably 2001ish?
NeverBeenThawed - October 19, 2006 06:04 PM (GMT)
Mine was 14K yellow gold with my birthstone (aquamarine). It had the aviation symbol on one side (because I wanted to go into that---I was pretty hard core into planes/rockets/stuff like that) and then the mascot, a wildcat, on the other, set against the Colorado National Monument. I think I paid something like $450 for it.
Jen - October 19, 2006 06:07 PM (GMT)
*Scratches head* I looked up the available drivers for rings if I were to order one today (I'm not, just curious as to what they had).. Uhm... Truex, Hamlin, Yeley, MENARD!, Vickers, McMurray, Labonte, Petty, Kyle Busch, Carl Edwards, Robby Gordon... few others... no.. Kasey...

I guess we have different definitions of the word cheap.
TrustFundGirl - October 19, 2006 06:10 PM (GMT)
Really random drivers. No Jr or Jeff or Jimmie or Tony? But there is Paul, Kyle Busch, Denny, Yeley? I guess maybe they are thinking most high school kids want the younger drivers.
Jen - October 19, 2006 06:15 PM (GMT)
There was Jeff, Jimmie, Jr... Tony.. the usual.. along with the younger ones.

$200 sure as heck ain't cheap when you work at a movie theatre for $6.15/hour and have to pay for everything you want, class ring included.
TrustFundGirl - October 19, 2006 06:18 PM (GMT)
Working at a movie theatre sounds fun! I never had any jobs like that when I was younger.
Okay. It makes more sense knowing the regular drivers were available too. Still doesn't explain Kasey, though.
carriekins - October 19, 2006 06:19 PM (GMT)
It was fun. I've been working since I was 15. That's 12 years. And $200 for anything still isn't cheap.
Court - October 19, 2006 06:20 PM (GMT)
Mine was close to $300.. and I got 14K yellow gold.. and that's definitely not cheap. I had a Fire Blue Spinel stone on mine (one of our school's colors).. my name on one side.. grad. year on the other.. basketball and soccer on one side.. and our school mascot (eagle) on the other.
I had to get mine re-sized, and that was almost $100.. so class rings are NOT a cheap thing to have.
And our school STILL sucks.. they don't have the nascar rings.
racefan9 - October 19, 2006 06:23 PM (GMT)
Mine was a little over $300.

Yeah, ya know, some of us do have to work. Some of us aren't trust fund babies.

What can I say? I have a rough life but someone's got to live it.

Princess_Sara400 - October 19, 2006 06:34 PM (GMT)

Jen - October 19, 2006 06:38 PM (GMT)
Another thing, for those of you who can't afford the ones through school, places like Wal-Mart and Target also sell them. Not sure if the price is way different, but it wouldn't hurt to check it out.

That's what I was thinking!
Katie9 - October 19, 2006 07:34 PM (GMT)
Mine was like $300 but mine is white gold and it was Christmas present from my parents. Mine had our mascot and music notes on it.
Chance2GetJSnider - October 19, 2006 08:52 PM (GMT)
The ring I am looking at getting is 200 and something which is cheap for the rings from Jostens.
And this is the one thing i was looking forward to about being a junior
JanvierFireChick43-2 - October 19, 2006 10:02 PM (GMT)
i just ordered mine from Jostens couple weeks ago! they came to my school :hehe
the one that i am getting is like $445 or something. they had NASCAR ones but no Kasey :( i was sad. plus to get Kasey's number and everything on it would cost $50 extra and my mom was like "No way!" lol. so on mine i got firefighting on one side, and the school mascot and everything on the other side.. oh and my name too.. i can't wait until i get it!
