It's still a tough road to hold but they can do it. They are doing exactly what they have to do........get the most points possible, put the pressure on all the other guys to keep you behind them.

Last night was the first win where I gladly did happy dances in front of my Mom. For some reason I can not explain she tends to get a bit pissy about that.

I'll 3rd that........

I have no voice and I woke up going "Kasey won, Kasey won, ummm did I mention Kasey won"

I was just driving to work and every time I passed a car I was like, "Excuse me, pardon me, Kasey Kahne fan coming through." I'm a nerd.

And the first thing I heard when I got to work? "OUR BOY WON!" From one of our Operators, whose husband is a massive Kasey fan. YAY!

Honestly? How could you not believe after a run like that!!! I was so excited!!! I wasn't sure if he got himself back into things but I sure was excited for that win! Oh and I have to say, I was thinking about you "Anybody but Jimmie" guys last night since he was right in back of Kasey trying to take first from him :hehe

okay so I keep analyzing in my little brain of mine.......

we made up 25 points and Burton finished 3rd to our 1st......if we were to win and Burton finishes 10th(which is about a normal standard for that 31 team this year) in a couple more races........we've got an awesome shot to make up a ton of points and Burton not even have a "horrible" day.

I truly believe Kasey is going to be a contender to win at all the rest of the races.....he can run strong at Martinsville, we know how Texas and Atlanta went this year, Homestead he has a truck and Busch win, and Phoenix we run solid at.

If this team just keeps putting the pressure on.....I think they'll start racking up the positions and the points on the other guys.

If Kasey was to make up 25 points in each of the next 4 races.....that only puts him 60 out going into Homestead. I maybe a lot, but he made up that much in the Cali race and you just never know what will happen.

and like Kasey said he's got 6 wins, he wouldn't give that up for the championship. He's gonna try his hardest but even if he still finishes in the top 5, he's still got 6 WINS.

even if they come close but don't get the championship, Kasey is the classic example of what is still wrong with the points system and hopefully it will be enough for Brian France to take notice no matter if Kasey comes back for the championship or comes darn close.
