Title: Official Post Dega We STILL BELIEVE

Scrapbookgirl9 - October 8, 2006 10:01 PM (GMT)
Well until they post the official standings and all that........I don't know exactly how many points we are back

But we made up a ton today, we showed we are a force.....we are gonna head into these final 6 races still with "nothing to lose, everything to gain"

And with the tracks coming up........we can do this

I freaking believe

Dedication. Drive. Determination.

This team isn't going to give up!

Princess_Sara400 - October 8, 2006 10:07 PM (GMT)

I've never lost hope. I know we can still win this thing. Just keep on doing what we did here, and we'll be okay. This is far from over. Soooo far.

What's that? Yeah, Charlotte's the place. :)

:nod

TheKahne_Mate9 - October 8, 2006 10:11 PM (GMT)
and we were supposed to do bad a dega? pshh, they don't know what they're talking about..thank godd next week is lowes...

Heather - October 8, 2006 10:12 PM (GMT)
amazing, so many close calls in that race
i would have loved to see kasey pull of another win, but damn he raced awesome!
great job!

NWfan938 - October 8, 2006 10:12 PM (GMT)
GO KASEY!

*gets back to studying*

Nic C. - October 8, 2006 10:15 PM (GMT)
Woo Hoo... Way to go Kasey!! Way to kick some butt and do what you weren't expected to do!!

I have faith... like I keep saying stranger things have happened!

SD#1KaseyFan - October 8, 2006 10:15 PM (GMT)
I never gave up hope that he would make a run up the standings. He will be the guy that every week takes a bite out of the points until 2 or 3 races left they are going to be saying 'Where did he come from? We better watch out for the 9 team."

He has nothing to lose at this point. Everyone has written him off saying he is going to finish 10th because that is the way it has been with EMS. They are sorely mistaken. Kahne will be a force to wrecken with the last 6 races.

GaKahneFan - October 8, 2006 10:22 PM (GMT)
Ok I will admit it, I wavered after Kansas. I felt like they were running like it was the last lap of the last race and they didn't need to.

Well they showed me again today why I love this team so much. They led laps, and they were patient. I am back on board.

I STILL BELIEVE!!!!!!!!

Now I am even more excited about the picnic. Kasey should be in a great mood after this finish.

KKAngel9 - October 8, 2006 10:24 PM (GMT)
Woohoo! You better believe I still believe! There is no doubt in my mind that the 9 team can make a comeback and what a great performance today by them. They were flawless and it showed. :)

kimmerlh - October 8, 2006 10:24 PM (GMT)

I still believe! Go Kasey!

AmeriKahneGirl924 - October 8, 2006 10:59 PM (GMT)
I believe anything is possible at this point. Burton has trouble and that helped everyone, Kasey and Jeff included.

I believe predicting what's going to happen is impossible. I'm going to realistic and just cheer that my boys get the best finishes possible!

CanadianKahne - October 8, 2006 11:21 PM (GMT)
I must point out...

Kasey just made up almost 100 points at possibly his worst track in the 10 races....that is right 100 points in 1 race

SD#1KaseyFan - October 8, 2006 11:22 PM (GMT)
Here's a comparison

Jimmie with 6 races to go in 2004 down 247
Kasey with 6 races to go 185

Anything CAN/WILL happen

I'm still in awe that he finished 2nd at Dega, but this is exactly what that team needed!!

carriekins - October 9, 2006 12:12 AM (GMT)
I never gave up on the team, but I admit to giving up on the Cup.

But hot damn if we aren't right back in this, eh?

What an awesome day. 2nd at Dega. LEADING at Dega. There's not a track out there we can't run well on. We've just gotta keep closing the deal.

LOVE IT!

Completely agree, this team can run up front at everyone of the races that are left.

Shoot, nevermind the last 6 (even though that is SO true) -- next season? Watch. Out. That's all I've gotta say. Watch. Out. The Kahne Train is a-comin'!

:lmbo

So subtle, Lena. Welcome to the party! :vw all around!

Scrapbookgirl9 - October 9, 2006 12:23 AM (GMT)
we just have to keep going for wins and getting Top 5's.........let the cards fall

We just have to keep putting the pressure on all of them......its not on us, we can just go out and win races and see how it goes, they've got to worry about the points and keeping us back

anything can happen, we don't know what will happen........but 185 points in 6 races is certainly something that with the right things can be overcome

I believe :)

NeverBeenThawed - October 9, 2006 12:23 AM (GMT)
Teehee. I'm not sure what I think about his title chances or anything but I'm sure they'll make some noise. Right now I'm trying to digest the fact that Brian won.

Dawn42 - October 9, 2006 12:26 AM (GMT)
he's still got a shot and with Martinsville coming up in a few weeks, anything can happen

carriekins - October 9, 2006 12:49 AM (GMT)
WOOOOHOOOO KASEY FINISHED 2ND AT DEGA WOOOHOOO!!!!!!!!

I'm still giddy. I still want to dance around the living room.

I'm so excited. Sorry y'all.

Jennifer - October 9, 2006 12:55 AM (GMT)
I am still so pumped after a 2nd place finish at DEGA

Anything can happen. Just gotta go for wins like he did today and let everything else happen.

and this team has momentum now. cannot wait to get to Charlotte to see Kasey sweep LMS

SD#1KaseyFan - October 9, 2006 01:01 AM (GMT)
I hope noboby believes Kasey can sweep Lowes, I know that sounds bad. But there is reason to my insanity most of the time. I am a little superstious he seems to do better when people don't believe he has a shot. Look at Kenny W. picking Kasey two weeks in a row and those were not good races. Indy for example everyone was predicting Kasey to win, and we know how that ended. He just needs to fly under the radar.

That is why I still believe he has a shot at the cup. The team's back is against the wall and they have to where to go but up.

I'm starting to think we share a brain.

I agree. I'll feel a lot better if the hype is surrounding Jimmie going into this weekend. I want KASEY to feel confident, but I don't necessarily want the fans getting too giddy about a sweep. Says the girl who is walking around going "Evernham Motor Speedway." Ha! But, like, Thursday I'll feel better if Kasey is flying under the radar.

Kind of glad someone agrees. I was hoping that didn't come out the wrong way. I so want Kasey to win, but under the radar seems to be the best way for him.
