After work and after seeing the end of the race at work, I was leaving and decided to call a friend of mine (the previously mentioned friend who has the nascar loving boyfriend) since she had told me to call her tonight after work. When I called and someone picked up on her cell phone, the first things I heard were "I know, I know" coming from a male voice, which caused me to chuckle. Steve had thought I had called Melissa in order to gloat against him since Kasey won over Jr. (Steve's favorite driver) tonight. He did agree that he was happy for Kasey getting the win and agrees with me that it is a shame for Kasey not to be in the chase at the moment with 5 wins this year. I told him that I think Richmond will get him in and he thinks Kasey has a chance too, which is cool.
I really like Steve and he has become a NASCAR buddy. :) Plus, he was the one that invited me to join him and his friends at MIS last month, which I am glad I did.
Yeah, my best friend is a Junior fan and we teased each other all night. He finally admitted that Kasey deserved to win and that he was happy for him and me, so that brought a smile to my face. :)
