Crocker's future: Evernham Motorsports CEO Ray Evernham plans to have Erin Crocker back in the truck series next year but said "a lot of it is going to be up to Erin." Crocker, NASCAR's highest-profile female driver, is ranked 23rd.
"She's been on track in some areas but far behind in others," Evernham said. "She has a lot of speed, but she's still struggling with racing. We've had her test the Cup car a couple of times, and she's done well. But she's also saying, 'Look, I'm not going to be in the middle of this if I can't do it.' "
