It all started on Thursday with a trip to the airport - well to meet and welcome the drivers. My neices Wynter and Gillyan came along - Wynter couldn't wait to meet Kasey again and what was with Gillyan? - she doesn't like NASCAR and teases us about it all the time but she went anyway. Before we got there - we had just missed Truex Jr. He signed autos and took pictures - so we heard. We met Sterling Marlin, Ryan Newman, and Kasey Kahne. Jamie, Jeremy & Kevin all drove away with their heads down not phased by the fans or the crowd that surrounded them. Rude but in all reality this is their time and have no obligation to stop. Ryan was so great - I think I have to say he is my second favorite driver. And none the less Gillyan's newest obsession. She just stood there and stared with a puddle of drool at her feet. I think she's hooked. He had fishing rods with him and planned to go sometime in the weekend. Kasey was so cute - he had on a tshirt - shorts and a backpack. He was just so cute. Kasey was the best as usual signed and took pictures. My neice Wynter gave him this small box of "red hots" candy - he thought she wanted that signed but she said no "it's for having a "red hot" season." He said "aww thanks." He was driving a Charger courtesy of the local dodge dealer. It was awesome. Jeremy had a yellow one. Oh he had the pugs too. But Kasey was so receptive and courteous to his fans chatted took pictures and signed everyone items, where it was one or many, he signed everyone's stuff. He signed this girls back of her neck - she is going to get it tattooed. My phone rang with the infamous "Kasey" ringtone and said "Ha that's awesome - I remember doing them" I was sort of embarassed - because everybody laughed- but it was cool. After Kasey left - we decided to hangout for a little bit - but we were sorta hungry so we went down the road to grab a bite at Damons. (note the pictures for Damons) After about 45 min to an hour - we went back and sad to our ears we heard and saw the evidence that 6 more Drivers arrived. All of who signed autographs and took pics, they were (and I'm afraid that some people will yell at me but I'm so upset with myself & I have punished myself so much already- so go easy) but we missed JUNIOR, Sorenson, Stremme, Kyle Busch, Greg Biffle, and Scott Wimmer. I was so mad and angry I cried. No one else show up after that and I had to go to CPR renewal anyway so we left.

I missed qualifying - I wanted to go but it was our annual trip to Knoebles.

RACE DAY: Wynter and Gillyan with her new found obsession wanted to go. It was a Girl's Day Out. We had such a great day. The traffic was not bad at all - that was the best part. We got to the track - and went shopping first. We hit up the Kasey trailer first - we almost bought them out - I bought the pets calendar - since I wanted it anyway and I had bought all this Kasey stuff a few weeks ago. Then Gillyan wanted some Ryan stuff - I really loved the shirt she bought and the visor was nice too. Then we went to the pits - we were sorta late but we were able to get some pics of the cars. Alot of the crew members were finished with their morning duties and weren't around - there was a big gathering of Vitamin Water people at the Kasey pit and were hogging the crew. So we walked to find his car and then on the way back we stopped at Kasey's again. I wanted Kale to sign my picture of us (me & Kale) and Gillyan wanted to meet him too. She's gah-gah over him too. But there was no one there but this gray-haired gentleman. I asked him where Kale was and he was like "I don't know but I'm probably the closest thing to him out here right now, I'm his Uncle Mooch" "I was like I remember you from the Klub Kahne pictures Tammy has on her site." I saw the resemblence of a Kahne - I know what Kasey will look like when he is older. He was so shy - just like Kasey - he said to me "can't you get back to the garage?" I was like no. So he took my picture and was so sincere - he said "I'll be right back" We waited for a few minutes. But NASCAR Officials chased us away because the race was starting. So I never got my picture back so either Uncle Mooch or Kale have my picture. It's out there somewhere. He also signed our program "UNCLE MOOCH". He was so nice - I want to be adopted by Uncle Mooch.

So we got to our seats and we were at the end of pit road. The guy that sang the national anthem sang it too fast and the fly-over was not in sync but I got an awesome shot of the planes. With our seats the way they were - we were right in front of the Edwards/Stewart/Boyer incident & the Carl/Tony spin out on pitroad. I got a pic of that - Tony facing the opposite way with smoke coming out of his car. So the seats were good for the incidents that happened. The first half was great - after lap 100 it was boring except for the pit stops and apparently I heard Kasey was throwing f-bombs at Truex on the radio and missed it - I was so upset. But after all it was a great race. I was so happy to go - I needed it.

On the way home we got passed by the 9 and 19 haulers - I snapped a picture but it blurred - but I thought it was cool. So after the race we stopped at the airport again to see who we can catch a glimpse of - We saw Ryan again, Denny, and Tony Stewart but they were so far away. I wouldn't bother them anyway after being in a car for 500 miles. But here are the pics - enjoy and please do not use without my permission or post anywhere else.

Uncle Mooch was the best - I think I want to be adopted my Uncle Mooch. I think what I am going to do is post my story on Klub Kahne - maybe something will happen through that. Well see. But thanks for the comments.
