Former Duke basketball star J.J. Redick was arrested early Tuesday morning for driving while impaired, according to a report on a Durham television station's website.
The WTVD website cited the police report, which said the arrest occurred at 1:03 a.m. and indicated Redick made an illegal U-turn in an attempt to avoid a license checkpoint.
Redick bonded out of the Durham County Jail around 4 a.m. on a $1,000 secured bond. He is scheduled to appear in court in Durham on July 17.
Redick is coming off a senior season that saw him win or share almost all of the major Player of the Year awards. He is expected to be a first-round draft pick in the June 28 NBA draft.

THis is a big dissapointment. I don't get why he would do this. His life was going good and then all of a sudden you just throw it away? Dammn. It's only like a couple of weeks before the NBA draft and well, now, things don't look so good.
Everything is just screwed up.
