Title: Evernham favoring one team?
Description: Discussion of Rumors....

kahnefanforever - April 10, 2006 04:13 PM (GMT)
My brother was saying that he read on speedtv.com the other day that evernham was moving all his best people from every department to Kasey's team and leaving Jeremy high and dry. Also that Scott Riggs car is basically R&D and that anything they want to try they put it on his car and if it works using it on Kasey's. Essentially making EMS a one car team, at least only focused on one. If anyone else has heard about this can you let me know because that sounds really weird to me, and crappy if it is true.

I ain't heard nothing,. but I doubt its true. A one car team in NASCAR?

LMFAO

NO! You can't make it with a one car team, and its sad to hear rumors like this going around. Evernham ain't that dumb, they know how important it is to have more than one team.

H e was mmost likely trying to make you mad

MyKindOfMusic - April 10, 2006 05:58 PM (GMT)
sounds like he was just trying to get you upset. I don't think that would happen ANY time soon. To make it in Nascar these days, you need to be a multicar team, unless you're Robby Gordon.

She was saying that he was saying that Evernham is favoring Kahne...so not a 1 car team...still a 3 car team just favoring Kahne by giving him the best people and best equipment.

i dont think that is true by any means though. Look at last year, Kasey didn't do to hot, its not because of his eqipment or anything, he just didnt have his head on straight.

MyKindOfMusic - April 10, 2006 06:11 PM (GMT)
How come the thread is called 1 car team then?

But yeah, if she was saying Kasey was getting all the stuff, then you're right. That's not true either, I mean did everyone else see how awesome Scott's car was yesterday? That thing was haulin.

I don't see Ray doing that. He isn't going to leave any of his drivers hi and dry.

I don't see Ray doing that either...

I mean it is possible that he's put a little more focus on the 9 team because the 19 was running so well... but I don't think that necessisarily means that he was putting all of his focus/ resources on the 9 team...

I think Ray wants all three teams to be successful... he did make a big thing about them having to perform to keep sponsorship so... eh...

I changed the topic name just so people don't read it and think Ray is getting rid of teams or what not... although I think this is a good disscussion to have... but just so there is no confusion when this shows up on the topic lists... I changed it...

I don't think Ray is favoring one team at all. Cause if you want to look at it that way, then he could have been favoring Jeremy last season since he had a better team then Kasey did.

LittleManFan - April 10, 2006 11:02 PM (GMT)
Now that EMS is using a new team "structure", I'm sure everyone is going thru a learning curve. Kasey and the Hyper Vipers seemed to have hit it off quicky, and things are coming together for them. Jeremy's team just hasn't found it's "rhythm" yet. Scott is the "newbe" ......new owner, new car, new everything. From everything we've read, information is shared among the teams so that they all can improve their performance. It just takes time....

(Scott has been doing great!...he's gotten better with every race!! :) )

Didnt Ray last year move Kasey's Pit Crew Challenge Champions to Jeremy??? And unless thats been changed back Kasey yet again has an amazing pit crew. I dont see Ray doing that, he might move things around but only in an effort to level things out.

Exactly.

Hasn't Jeremy made the Chase for the last two years? If that's the case, in 2004 would EMS been favoring Jeremy more since he made the top 10 and not Kasey (even though Kasey was ROTY)? If anything, people could say that Ray has favored Jeremy the past two years..I hope they're not though.

I don't know to me it just seems as though Jeremy is going through the same thing Kasey did last year--just a lot of bad luck. Would we even be talking about this if Jeremy was higher up in the point standings? More than likely not.
To say Evernham is "favoring" one driver over the others is kind of ridiculous IMO..I mean look at how well Scott ran at Texas this past week.

Robin - April 11, 2006 10:05 PM (GMT)
well im sure that jeremy and scott will have their chances they just need to find the right set up to make things work, it will happen one day they just need to wait and see what happens but it takes time.
