Just curious if anyone knows why some Mayfield fans dislike Kasey? I'm not saying that they all do but I've been on some other sites and have seen talk. Anyone have any insight?

Not really, But I don't like Mayfield either way. He is not much of a team player on track to me. Sorry but thats how I feel. I don't hate him, but I don't like him.

I guess there problem is because the whole media and Dodge talks about Kahne and not Mayfields great 10th place season in the last 2 years. I don't know

I think that Jerm is the chronic. I imagine he gets along really well with Kasey. I can see why fans of his wouldn't like Kasey. It's a jealously thing.

Not sure why, but thats prob because I'm not a fan of Mayfields. Like someone else said, I don't think he's much of a team player. He seems like a nice guy off track, but thats about it.

lol, well I don't know about them getting along or not......back in Dec Kasey said he couldn't even get Jeremy to return his calls.

But hey, if I was a big Jeremy fan and he constantly outperformed his teammate but yet got no where near the press......wouldn't make me happy, so I can see why some Jeremy fans may not like Kasey.

I have no problem with jeremy...I like all the evernham drivers.

I like Jeremy as a person. He seems like a great guy, but as others have mentioned, he is not always the greatest teammate.

If Mayfield's fans do tend to dislike Kasey, it is probably because of all the attention Kasey recieves. I guess I can understand that, but in the same respect it is kind of stupid because its not exactly like Kasey has any control over who the media decides cover.

Jermy is a really nice guy. He was so sweet when I met him. I think the problem with SOME Jeremy fans is like what happened at the Cleveland Auto show. SOME Kasey fans just come and get ahead of the real Jeremy fans and so they Jeremy fans get pushed to the side. Plus I don't know how many times I heard a person ask Jeremy about Kasey when I was at the auto show. Thats just want I think is happening

I don't know why... I agree w/ what christy said though... I know I get annoyed when Kasey does something good and it's all about JR and Jeff... it's gotta get annoying as a fan

I personally like Jeremy...even maybe a little more than Kasey.

Maybe they might not like Kasey being his attitude, how the media overrated him, and probably don't like Kasey for most of his fans.

i agree that i think it's because Jeremy has done well the past two years but in a way it's like he's in Kasey's shadow because Kasey is the young driver and he's getting a lot of the attention. I don't have a problem with Jeremy and i certanily have no problem with Kasey :)

well i am a HUGE Jeremy fan as u can see so i dunno well i dont dislike Kasey i did at first in a way but he is growing on me and i would never say anything bad about him but you people that posted the bad stuff about Jeremy i know u have a right to say what you want but im hurt by that and i love Jeremy and i will stand by him 119% :jeremy

Golly geese!!! You wouldn't believe all the Kahne bashing going on on the Mayfield site. I dropped by to post a positive, supportive note and was basically completely ignored while Kasey seemed to get blamed for Jeremy's lack of success thus far in the season. It just blows my mind. Kasey only won b/c he's got Jeremy's old team and old cars, etc., etc. Kasey has never been a team player and only concerned with himself. I just couldn't believe it. I probably won't be going back there for a while. They seem to be very receptive to Scott Riggs, who I like as well, but it is obvious that most loathe KK. Oh well!!!Such is Life!!

:( I hope Jeremy doesn't feel that way...From all the articles I've read about EMS, I think Ray is trying to support all of his teams equally...maybe the 19 team will start having better runs as the season goes on.

I think it's just like changing the rolls, so to speak. The last few years with Jeremy being in the Chase, Kasey was left out since he wasn't running that well. Now that Kasey's running well and Jeremy's not, there are people that have problems with it. Remember this is just all my opinion, but I don't remember any of us complaining last season when Jeremy was having such a good season and Kasey wasn't. We're all here to support all the drivers from EMS, not single them out.

I totally agree Stars. I just went back over to the JM board and it seems that someone has deleted all those nasty posts about Kasey. Maybe someone in charge thought better of it. I'm telling you, they were vicious. It makes me wonder what they do when they see a Kahne fan at a race. Do they give them a flying salute? Oh well! You just can't change some people's minds or opinions. No sense in trying.

I check out Jeremy's board every now and then and I saw the post that 9fan was speaking of (which apparently must have been deleted very recently). It is really a shame that most of them feel the way they do. Like Katie said, last season you did not see any of us complaining in the same manner that they are. Sure, we were all very frustrated with Kasey's season, but I don't recall seeing any posts containing conspiracy theories about how Ray was only giving Jeremy equipment capable of making the Chase. We're only FOUR races into the season. Anything could happen. With Jeremy's problems this season involving mostly bad luck, I am confident that he can rebound from this. We saw how good Scott Riggs did this week, as well as in Vegas (although unfortunately he did not have the finish to show for it). This should show that EMS has the resources to field 3 competitive teams.
