Hey i can't find the thread that this idea came up in, not being around much i lost track of it. but i remember Erica and a few others and i talking about designing things for a shirt.

I had some free time at school the other day and came up with this for a rough idea for the "all aboard the kahne Train concept.

Please let me kn ow what you think so far and i can hammer out the rest of it when i get back to the computer lab. thanks!

Dedicated. Driven. Determined. - a play on last years Dedication. Drive. Determination.

and having RK @ KK 2006 somewhere on the back, I think Sara had an idea about that if I remember right.....

but honestly I'm up for anything

yeah i was gonna work something up for the DDD too once i had the time and then see what anyone else came up with. combine ideas maybe and such.

what about under the train put like Dedicated Driven Determination then on the back put like RK is aboard the Kahne Train!!

I like the idea alot guys, but not big on the train.... I like the Kahne Train idea but maybe the picture needs to be tweaked a bit. Otherwise it's great

i totally missed that the first time, but i must say i LOVE LOVE LOVE that font!

and the font that DDD is in, is cool too, almost looks like a racecar whooshing by. what font is that by the way?!? its great!

I like this idea. The train idea is cool but I agree that it needs to be tweaked a little. I have an idea, but I don't know if anyone else would like it. Here's my idea: the 3 D's on the back in big and bold letters. On the front, the train with the #9 in the front and attached train cars with 'RK@KK 2006' on it. And for fun we can add the Dodge Ram symbol on the front of the train. What do you all think?

OR we could use 'Dedicated. Driven. Determined.' shaped into a #9 on the back of the shirt. I like this idea because its kinda symbolic. Just my thoughts and ideas. :)

rk@kk is in a font called college team in and out. and DDD is in blade runner

umm would we want this "real" looking or more t-shirt design looking, kinda like a drawing? asking so i can see what other ideas i can come up with.

I'm def liking the whole "Dedicated. Driven. Determined." idea in the shape of a 9. Very unique, and I think it would turn out looking really cool, especially if we got like RK@KK above it, with the 9 shape below it, like jerseys.

When I was writing that idea of the motto in the shape of the #9, I meant to have the train on the front too, it is a cool idea you gals had.

How about having on the back:
Dedicated.
Driven.
Determined.

then within the 3 lines above, use letters in a different color to make the number 9 so it would stand out. Does this make sense or is it confusing? LOL It kind of is hard for me to explain...lol

I have been trying to find an application to do stuff like this...but I am not very savvy on in the graphics department on computers LOL...if anyone is willing to help me out with these ideas, I would much appreciate it. I might try and talk to some people that are in the t-shirt business up here and see what they think...that is if I can get some time away from school...we will see. But any help from any of you would be so appreciated! Thank you! :)

So I thought I would bring this thread backup...I think it would be great to figure out what we want as a group and I would love to have a shirt before the end of July...if possible...if not, its would still be nice to have one.

I have since in my spare time (in class boredom lol) drawn with pencil and paper what I was thinking for our shirts...what I came up with is very similar to the idea I had a above...on the back of the shirt, there are 3 lines, Dedicated. Driven. Determined. Behind the 3 lines is the outline of Kasey's classic #9. Below the 9 in smaller print, we can have RK@KK on it.

The front I am not sure of and am not quite happy with my ideas...I thought we could have a little train on the left chest front, and wrapped on the top and bottom, would be 'All Aboard the Kahne Train' Or we could have each of our names or nick names...since they are representing our group at rk@kk, it would be appropriate to have our names/nicknames...but I don't know if that is too corny...maybe too mickey mouse club? LOL I also thought a favorite quote of ours or his...would be fun...but I don't know...Any ideas, anyone?

In the meantime, I might try and get this on computer graphics when I get a minute to breath from school, so far, it looks pretty nice on paper, maybe I have a chance to scan it...maybe this weekend? Hopefully?

Well, no, no one would understand our DRB nicknames...thats a sercret lol... I think it would be a little... mysterious though...it might be fun if it becomes a little game and maybe some people ask what each name means...LMAO but whatever nickname people feel like having really...it was just an idea LOL. It doesn't have to be a board name, it could be one your friends call you, and we all can start calling you that if you would like.

I will try to get things scanned so that you all can see what I was thinking, and see if you like it or not, I think that it might have to wait until this weekend, this month is pretty hectic for me...school takes over...well, gotta go to school, take care!

This is what I thought for the back, its very simple. Also, I do realize that the nine isn't slanted like on his car...but again, I can't draw, adding a slant would be too much for me to try! LOL

There's rk@kk on the bottom of the nine, its kinda blurry but its there...

Alina and I were talking about the design and she brought up a good point that it probably is copyrighted, I think I am gonna email Tammy with these and see who I need to contact to get permission, and if we can get it all done in time for July or not.

Sorry its so crude and that there is no color, I sometimes get an itch to sketch something, and the last time it was to sketch this. Being swamped with school, I don't have time to turn it into computer graphics or anything fancy like that... I hope these sketches help, at least its a start to get our idea juices flowing. :) Let me know what ya'll think then I will go ahead and email Tammy when we know a bit better on what we would like to do (if needed).
